I must have misread earlier. Kinda makes a mockery of BT's whinging tho. It appears that since he couldn't do his roving rubbish, he chose to sulk and tell a completely different story.

Yep he had a whinge but he did have access to the players. Made a big deal out of it but lied. Pretty pathetic. I can't stand him. Tries to be funny but fails miserably. And then channel 7 said it was a "missed opportunity", um he had access to the players to ask as many "insightful" questions as he wanted but he chose to act like a child that didn't get his way.

I have grown to enjoy BT and his wacky antics - mainly because he's so over the top and ridiculous and spontaneously says really silly stuff. He carried on because he knew that he had the powerful element in this - ie. a spot to broadcast his annoyance from while the club wouldn't say anything. He was just frustrated and had a whinge. Doesn't mean he was right, but not that big a deal really.

People who only saw that & nothing else would be getting stuck into our club for not playing along or being "precious". Possibly impacting sponsorship $ and potential future membership etc etc.

It's not good enough that he can just spout absolute rubbish as facts during & after a game. He needs to be pulled up & punished for all the crap he says & does.

Further to this, do you think it's good having him walk in on coaches meetings post game? Impede our players warmdowns (vital for injury prevention & longjevity)? He obviously doesn't follow the wishes or directions of the clubs... so many "ohhh, don't think we're allowed to be here/doing this" etc.

I don't want him ruining the feeling in the rooms after a win or loss. I don't want him impeding our club. And I certainly don't want him rubbishing our club based on lies.

It's just not funny. It's not insightful. It's not professional. It's more rubbish TV that has no point other than "drama" & what they think is humour. He's a joke & covers the fact he's crap at his job with "humour", loudness & now (it seems) sooky whinging lies.

BT and the majority of Australian commentators are a disgrace compared to the professionalism of international commentators. Blatant biasing, calling players by their nickname, trying to get themselves over by saying inane catchphrases etc. It's embarrassing.

Every time I see or hear BT, I shake my head at how far media standards have fallen for this guy to get a gig calling Friday night footy on a major TV network. He is just a troll. How he is allowed to get away with complete crap like "Oraaaaazio" is beyond me, and his vendetta against Mike Pyke a few years back was truly bizarre. Not surprised at all that he chose to make it all about him after Friday night's game. I agree with GotTheGoodes here, it's not entertainment, it's just rubbish TV.

Huh, OK I'm very much in the minority it seems.

I just don't take BT seriously, he's much more enjoyable when you stop expecting him to be a "professional". 90% of Australian sports commentary is garbage anyway. I'd much rather have rubbish coming out of BT's mouth than Basil Zempilas or Dwayne Russell attempting to be serious.

NFL do a wonderful job as does the NHL (when not in Canada IMO).

EDIT: As in, not the NFL/NHL themselves but their broadcasters... Professional. Intelligent. Insightful. Call the game well. Can use emotion but not over the top. Un-biased.

No matter how many times I see it I can't come to grips with how it happened. Even the lead up to Buddy's point was unbelievable, Mills playing on to Naismith and his low drilling pass to Buddy who usually doesn't take those marks.

It's all very surreal.

He made it a big deal. He had no reason to be frustrated, he could speak to the players (personally I wouldn't have a problem if the club did actually ban him from having any access to the players, his stupid questions offer nothing). Totally unprofessional and classless. It was pathetic and immature. Total idiot if you ask me and not slightly amusing or entertaining.

We are under no obligation to allow BT into the rooms anyway. Why should we give him that privilege when he shows the club no respect?
We gave him access to multiple players after the game, which he acknowledged, but he chose to lie about it and attack the club on national TV instead.

Watching the last two minutes I'd been shaking my head at the lack of pressure by Essendon that allowed Kennedy to pump the ball in for Newman's goal.

On the 50th view i finally notice that Conor Mckenna dislocates his finger at the start of that stoppage leaving Essendon one short.

Just one more tiny moment in the sequence of unlikely events in the final minutes leading to the most miraculous win since the 05 semi.

Yeah... I mentioned that passage earlier.
And even after Newmans goal, Naismith gets a perfect tap forward but a fatigued Parker is cleverly nudged under it by Merritt.... he sends it into his forward fifty, seemingly ending our chances, Smith holds off Fantasia and Reggie drops back and takes one uncontested. On any other day our little friends in fluoro call holding against smith and orazio puts the bombers up by 12.

So apparently the swans have released a statement saying they had told channel 7 before the game that BT wouldn't be granted access after the game, win or lose. So all his whinging was total showboating.

BT was offered access to as many players as he wanted.
