Doesn't get any easier though, our bogey team next week and Hawks week after. We could very well be 0 and 4. Tough draw the AFL has thrown us but if we want to be a champion team we have to get around that.

Yeah? And what happens if we go 20-2 after that? Make full season predictions now at your peril.

We're in a lot of trouble.

Apart from a non-contact win against West Coast we have been smashed around the ball all year. The Crows smashed us, as did Richmond - young team didn't help, Fremantle embarrassed us around the ball and Freo didn't play well at all - the contest of the game overlooked the poor standard, and now Sydney has too.

We look small, lean and unable to match it physically. We also look over trained, tired, sluggish. When you push the limits you end up beginning to get diminishing returns that eventually lead to a reversal in what you were once chasing. I'm starting to believe Burgess has gone too far down the running path at the expense of mass. We are getting slaughtered around the ball. Can't break tackles, can't stick tackles. We look like boys against men again.

Schulz looks close to being cooked, as does Cornes.

We also look like a bunch that has thought outside run is all we need. Far too many not willing to get dirty when it's needed most.

We don't try and clear congestion we try and be cute going through it - far too many 1m handballs.

The amount of times players are running 55-70m from goal and try and laser pass bullets between 5 opposition to a single leading forward is insanity in itself. It does nothing but open us up for a counter attack.

Hinkely has had it easy until now. Now we'll find what he's made of.

Even Hawthorn would struggle to try and play the style Hinkley is trying to play at present. To much cute footy, nowhere near enough substance.

I could probably count 10-15 players tonight the at particular times took the easy option when confronted with something hard to do. Sides with that mindset always finish low on the ladder.

We have lost our edge, our fitness while good isn't magical, we aren't a top 4 side yet, we have achieved very little other than to improve yet a high percentage of our side are trying to play like are already there.

And I really don't like the gameplay or style we are trying to play this year. There's being brave and then there's being ****ing stupid. We fall in to the later part at present.

None of our players looked fit enough. Hartlett, Redden, and Ryder in particular.

We handballed while under pressure, and it just increased the pressure. We missed easy targets. We hesitated all. The. Bloody. time.

That was absolute garbage, but hey the fireworks and INXS were good, thank you energy Australia!

I don't think this team can handle being favorites going into a game.

Equal second biggest loss in Ken's reign.

I had set my expectations for around 4-3 after the first 7. That's looking even tougher now, but next week becomes super important. I wanted to beat Norf just because I'm sick of losing to those flogs. Now we need to beat them and do it convincingly to turn our form around.

We lost... It sucks... But we will move on. I have watched most of the games over the last two weeks and we are in the top part of the competition still.... Played a vengeful freo and a classy Sydney.... We can right the wrongs starting next week Kangas at Etihad can't wait we will do the job; still early we have an easy run mid year be confident :)

Just disappointed. Not angry or sad, but just disappointed. We're so much better than that. We have talent in spades, and a great coaching panel, and supporters in droves, but none of it could click. Midfield didn't sit. Forward structure poor. Work hard to get a scrappy entry, only to cough up a quick coast-coast goal.
What happened to never giving in? Just giving it everything until the siren. Some people out there tried so hard- Hombsch, pittard, ebert & Co, but some others just didn't look like they cared.

Going to wait until r5 before I pass any serious judgements. I pray it's just part of the ebb & flow of the season.

Good confidence and positivity. But we will play Sydney, Hawthorn and Freo when we push for the finals. We have to beat them to progress.

Our passing into forward 50 is too predictable and strange, Sydney always had numbers where they thought we were going to pass.

That was in my humble opinion the biggest load of shite in Kerns time at the club, the only real difference to the worst of Choco and MP was the defence didn't collapse like a pack of cards as soon as the opposition turned up the wick, as happened game after game circa 2008 - 12.

No point in throwing out the baby with the bathwater but geez something has to give in the next few weeks or a 0-4 start could very well be on the cards.

Would just like to mention Matt white actually looked more like his old self tonight. One of the few to actually try and take the game on. Hopefully more of that from now on. Being made sub seemed to be the rocket he needed.
