Play Broady or Pittard on a wing.

In: Hammer, Pittard
Out: Amon.

Second out is so tough. Eddy, Sammy or Houston would be in the conversation.
Easy to make a case why they should be retained. If I was pressed to pick one I'd go Gray but Ken will probably drop Eddy.

I really liked Charlie doing some ruck work and I think it helps bring him into the game. Still prefer Jacko in defence.

I am not sure what has Harlett done to earn the right to walk back in into this side. He didn't have a particularly good game against Sydney and Amon has been playing well (I assume that is the consensus out to make room for Harlett).

Also, Eddy is a better forward than Trengrove. Jacko needs to stay in defense, especially against the Crows.

And Pittard, well he's probably in our best 22 but how fit is him? I don't see the need to rush him back into the team.

I really struggle to understand why Harlett and Pittard in is a done deal.

If you have fox watch the footy show on there tonight. During the game they did go into detail about S.Grays role and how he is used. They may do it again. Sam is staying in the side and for a very good reason. While our mids are firing he is priceless and absolutely no hope of being left out.

I am fully expecting SPP to be targeted this week. They'll try and rough him up and get him to give away free kicks.
I highly doubt that will be the case...for better or worse our mids are ball players and we don't really have anyone in the team who you'd consider an 'enforcer'...maybe Matt or Brad Crouch at an absolute stretch (not that I think our blokes are squibs either BTW). The Hawks have been roughing us up for years without any real consequence so I think SPP will probably just get treated like any other player. Should be a great contest.

Just to highlight how efficient our defence has been after 2 games;

Disposal efficiency;

Clurey 91%
Trengove 87%
Jonas 86%
Houston 83%
Hombsch 80%
Broadbent 78%
Byrne-Jones 54%

Our defence is working well and so far we've had the least amount of points scored against us in the comp.

Pittard for Byrne-Jones is the only defensive change i would make this week.

If Hartlett comes into the side it should be at half-forward or on the wing.
Who would you play on Betts if not DBJ? Pittard, Broadbent, Hartlett and Houston are not lock down defenders and all our kpd's will be needed on the host of talls they have.

No great match up really. Different players but it's like saying whose the best match up for Franklin, even Chad. Eddie I hate to say it, is in that form currently, good luck to him.

At a guess we'll be looking more to cutting off supply upfield, like Hawthorn did early when they were up and about.

Regardless of who gets the job, keeping him to 2 goals will be considered a win.

see, id take 3 goals from Betts as long as the others dont get more than 2.

Betts 3
McGovern 2
others 1

id take that as a win

I'd love for you to find who wrote this, because from memory it was a direct response at me saying he would be playing KPD against the Crers. The poster said I needed to go to the loony bin or something along those lines. But hey what do I know, Jacko owned it last night at KPD and with Crers talls, its almost a certain lock.

I replied to the guy in the "changes vs freo" thread that wanted to bet you should be the last post and easy to find!

Unfortunately the $10k @ $100 was for rampe getting 20 touches for the swans (as he was not playing due to a broken arm).

DBJ on Betts
Hombsch on McGovern
Clurey/Jonas on Walker

Josh the Goose doesn't play after going to Hospital surely??

Don't particularly want Pittard to come straight in.
id put Jonas on Walker, both have the turning circle of the Titanic

Josh will play, guarantee

I can't wait for this weekend. I also love that in my mind 2-2 was a good start to the season. So now as far as I'm concerned we have 2 games to try and pinch a 3rd win.

I feel like the Crows at home is a more winnable game than the Giants who are legitimately a 10 goal better side at Spotless. So I look forward to the boys hitting this week with absolutely nothing to lose.

If we can nullify Jacobs we should undoubtedly win the midfield battle, so from there it all becomes about ball retention, movement inside 50 and our defensive pressure/intensity being right up when the Crows are trying to **** outside the contest. They've basically roamed pressure free the last 2 weeks on the outside and we can't let that happen. Their forward line will score, that is a given, so we need to ensure dominance in the other parts of the game, ie. Clearances, tackle pressure and Defensive press.

Based on what we've shown the last 2 weeks we absolutely can win this, but it's going to take a monumental effort as they're so choc full of belief and confidence right now it is ridiculous.
