I think you are specifically talking the kick across the face of goal straight to a Carlton player. To me Lonie has been extraordinary in his endeavour. I noticed Essendon spent a lot of times running into him at every opportunity. For a guy with a handful of games to get that attention suggests they must rate him. I think Lonie is probably the most exciting first year player we have had in a decade, he reminds me of a young Aussie Jones with his small size but huge skill set and output that defies his age. Acres just hasn't shown enough yet to me. He isn't a bad player just looks like he is going to take a little longer.

should clarify on Lonie - wasn't meaning to denigrate him in any way. I agree with what you say, he has just had a few rushes of blood. Was rapt when we called him out last year and even more rapt now! Anyway, hopefully Blake gets a full game tomorrow and really pushes his case.

Im tempted to call for a moratorium on any bashing of the younguns before they have played 30-50 games.

I think Blacres will be a goodie, but will take time as has had injury issues all the way through btw
