Just heard on the radio that strong winds continue to batter the south east of Australia. Great, now I want to eat the south east of Australia.

I know I joke but there has been some crazy stuff happen over the last few days.

I bought a blender on the weekend because I only have a stick blender. So now I have had about 15 smoothies in 2 days.

I came up with a good one today with banana, strawberries, blueberries, Greek yoghurt, maple syrup and Milo.

Sounds very nice, anything with banana and honey or maple syrup is great. I like adding cinnamon sugar too.
 
Also, something has gone very wrong with my HomePod settings. One of the cats stepped on it in the middle of the night and it started blasting music. And now I can’t work out what Siri is on about because she has started speaking French. Also the cats seem to have really shit playlists

My go-to is Banana, blueberries, something milk-ish, little tiny bit of nice ice cream and a touch of hershey's caramel syrup.
Whack a few vitamin tablets in there sometimes.

Question for all of you fit, healthy types.

I’ve lost a vast amount of weight really quickly of late. Much too quickly. Not dieting - I’ve just suddenly lost my appetite months back. I think I’m hungry but within a couple of bites it feels yucky to eat and I can’t swallow any more. I’m too thin now. I was pleased for a bit because I discovered I can get into my pre-pandemic wardrobe again, but I suddenly realised while out at Bunnings that I’m going to have to buy a belt or my jeans will fall off.

I did the Dr thing last week and blood tests and all, and nothing has been spotted that could have caused this. I want to avoid appetite stimulant medication because it’s not very nice in lots of brain type ways.

So to start with I’m supposed to try eating multiple small meals and somewhat counter-intuitively go to the gym more frequently. No cardio. I’ve had to stop running for a bit because of the rapid weight loss and I’m also weaker so can’t run as far anyway. I’m meant to start weights and functional training to restore muscle as I try to eat more. I’ve been referred a PT & nutrition specialist to help with this.

I want to stay slender but not gaunt like I am now, and get a bit stronger. Has anyone had to do this? Do you have any suggestions for diet and or particular exercises?

It’s getting me down now.
 
Haven't had that experience PG. On gyms, I've been infrequent with them but had a great experience at a power lifting focussed gym a few years back. I'm a stick figure so initially thought I'd be laughed out of there but was a super friendly, supportive place to train and really good coaches etc. Got qay better with form and confidence with lifts. Pretty out of the way from where I live though so stopped, but really enjoyed that. A good local gym rather than a club lime (or whatever the Vic equivalent is) might be the go? And even if it seems like the place for beefcakes they can be really good for newbs too.

Or get a boxing bag in the kitchen.
