We have been giving each other scotch for the last 15 years. He turns 89 on the 30th… any recommendations? I usually spend about $150-$250, but honestly its not about the price, for example I think Johnny Walker blue is probably the most overrated and over priced scotch around.

Personally no. I know some that have.

I ****ing adore him though. He’s the epitome of a gentleman. Still sharp as a tack, walks 10-20 Ks a day depending on how he’s feeling. Honestly don’t know if there’s anyone I respect more. Lived in Malta when the Nazis were bombing them every day…but talks about it like it was yesterday..how
he’d wait with the other kids till the planes finished firing and then all the kids would race to the beach to collect the shells because the ones on solid ground were too hot. Their parents would use them as decorations for their houses.

Any idea on what it may be worth? My grandparents went back to Ireland in the 90’s and were gifted a Waterford Crystal decanter from the 17 or 1800’s. They have since passed it on to me. Unsure of value but probably worth more than my car
