Sigh, don't know why I'm doing this and I doubt it will help anyone.

But here's my two cents anyway.

Chad, Val, Ferball. I can say with 100% certainty that none of you are racists or bad people.

You all have some personality traits that for whatever reason, grind each other's gears, and you've all been disagreeing on politics for so long that those traits are affecting each other more and more with every disagreement. The more you guys discuss this the more heated these discussions are gonna be. And it's not gonna get better or nicer.

You're all good people with kind hearts, and good North people to boot. Some of you have some intellectual curiosities which aren't my flavour and which can have other people misidentifying you and lumping you in with some not great people, but I trust and hope that your good natures won't allow you to go down hateful rabbit holes.

I don't expect anyone to listen but I genuinely think it would help if you gave each other a break for a little while. You might find the common ground you all have is easier to identify and vibe with when you're not fresh off being at each other's throats, and compounding that on the daily.
