Soooo, a long time ago when I was sooo happily married, my now exwife and I used to have a 100m sprint on New Years Day to see who was the fastest in the house. I always won, though she was quite quick to point out that if we ran a 200 or 400, then she'd smash me. And true that was. I did however point out that nobody knows who wins the 200 or 400, but everyone knew who won the 100m!
Well this morning my best little mate was up and about, gave me the "you're about to lose your title" talk on the way up to the running track in Franga.
He had the countdown and got the jump by half a yard, but I reeled him in after about 35m and laughed my way to a 15m win. Needless to say he claimed that I cheated by making him laugh, and he wanted a rematch. I said you'll get one .... in a year!
After a few minutes we were back at the start, he gave me a bit of "can we swap lanes" to which I told him that only the reigning champ gets to choose his lane..... hahahaha
Anyway, after the second race I still had him by about 8 or 9 metres and he was a lot happier.
I have no idea of the time, but I did hit 25.5 km/h ..... certainly won't catch Papenhuyzen .... but not too bad for 55, and am still the reigning sprint king of our house!
