Why would trump be pushing for a ceasefire?Their own words:
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak:
Israeli approval today comes because of Trump’s pressure and not out of moral and humanitarian commitment towards the kidnapped people.
It was one of his election promises. Trump has no interest in having wars in the Middle East. Why would trump be pushing for a ceasefire?
Thumping? He won by less than 2%. His popular margin victory was smaller than Hillary Clinton’s in 2016.
He would sell anything that isn’t nailed down to anyone.
Putin has invaded a sovereign state. He won’t stop at Ukraine. Anyone who believes he’s a boogeyman is a crank.

I can see the parallels, although Trump is trying to remove the US from treaties similar to what got the world in trouble in 1914. I see Trump as isolationist, he is more likely to turn the US into Russia 1919. Looking at solving problems inwards and we also know how that ended up with people who thought they were smartest in the room. Although as a given completely different ideologies.
I’ve always said Trump isn’t going to be the issue it’s what crawls out in 15 years or so, after we’ve seen a few years of hyperinflation and destabilisation in the US and you’ve got absolute resentment towards the state.

The article is explaining the mechanism, not the cause but honestly would you invest in America in the next few years?
They have to cut spending by billions whilst simulating growth with a couple of self serving billionaires running policy, what could go wrong.

You could say that 'threat' has worked and brought all sides to compromise. The relationship between Trump and Netanyahu isn't exactly rosy, at least not publicly.Minor point of clarification; Trump didn't campaign on ending the Gaza conflict. Quite the opposite; he actively campaigned on encouraging Netanyahu to escalate and 'finish the job' (IE get rid of Hamas fully and once and for all).

Fairly safe to assume they don't have any MIG 29s left, which is pretty amazing when you consider how many they had to begin with and how many were donated from around the world.
I'm not an economist. The whole thing looks like rubbish to me. But I'm starting to think defecits don't matter. .... like ... where does money come from? The article is explaining the mechanism, not the cause but honestly would you invest in America in the next few years?

8 Billion dollars worth of weapons to fight Iran. How has this ceasefire deal come about? What has changed that would prompt Israel to accept any form of Ceasefire?
I don't know anything about economics other than modern economics fails to predict anything, so its about as scientifically accurate as political science (ie not at all), and the whole thing is based on the artifical manipulation of scarcity.Oh god please tell me you're not going down the MMT rabbit hole haha
Except with Iran.It was one of his election promises. Trump has no interest in having wars in the Middle East.
