Really enjoyed that test for a thrashing. Lots of great little battles amongst it. The pitch was great and day/night cricket is brilliant. Shame about the crowds, but from my perch here in Sweden I can't begrudge my fellow sandgropers not wanting to die in those conditions.
I think this is the most I've liked an Aus cricket team. Call it lip service or good PR or whatever, but the image has improved. Aus thrashing NZ a few years ago would fill me with a little bit of cultural cringe, but this was so enjoyable.
Langer as the new-age guru coach is immensely likeable, Cummins is almost too perfect, Starc is such an under-rated gun, Marnus is an adorable cricket dork; even Wade and Warner are growing on me.

Yeah I woke up feeling like pure death but I went straight to Varsity Joondi for a pint or 16.
Got about 50k through apparently. It's a busy time of year. Xmas parties, work, 4 days of 40°+.
Gotta feel for all the people who mightve copped some sort of food poisoning from the sangas/wraps etc.
It's deserved for buying healthy food at a sports stadium. That goes against too sacred a tradition for me to tolerate.

Classic. This is exactly what I thought too! Punished by the Grease God for heresy.
Doubt anyone actually got sick. Someone found a piece of slightly undercooked chicken in their food and freaked out. Pretty drastic measure to recall all food containing chicken in it.
Sounds like they only recalled the chicken items supplied by an external contractor, so anything cooked in house was fine. I just got some context from an article and yeah it doesn't sound too bad but then again the PR spin machine would've been in full swing.
