Dunno about Ballantyne, good footy player but being a crumbing forward doesnt get alot of the ball and will only get decent scores if he kicks a bag.

Ballantyne pushed up the ground alot in the NAB series and was getting possessions up around the wing, also tackles alot. If fit, will be a good cash cow.

cheers mate, you know what the sad thing is.. No calculator and Supercoach is banned at work, player prices are seared into my retina's.

I think they need a Supercoach Anonymous Help Group. I'll be the first signed up.

Yup, Palmer is going to play half a game. Has been working on bulking up and disposal all pre season.

Cunnington was seen as the most physically ready to take on Senior footy out of the top 5 draft picks.

My head hurts!

Oh and Bernie Vince will be playing this weekend also!

Do I get rid of Ball and pick up palmer (if he plays well) and save 150k and upgrade Hunt to a +400k player? Or leave it

Hahahaha, actually the opposite. He seems to talk alot but knows sweet %$#^ all IMO and has been giving people really bad advice... That's why I was interested to know where he finished last yr..

Yeah good advice, I think ball should start off well, he is in good form at the moment. Might be able to trade up a rookie if he is about to have a price change in round 6-7

Last year I finished 5128 but I stopped playing at about round 14 because my grandpa passed away. But the year before i finished in the top 100.

Don't take too much offence into my comment, I was just interested as alot of what you have been saying has been hearsay when actually you've been relaying it as solid information.

I hope you get back up to the top 100's from '08, GOOD LUCK!

Who thinks Rhys palmer is worth the risk? I had him in my team to start with but took him out cos i didin't think he would play till about round 4 or 5? If he's playing this weekend surely you would have to look at him seriously at 300K? Hes definitley in freo's best 22 and he knows how to find the footy for sure.

Can you at least justify why Harvey will miss games..?

Before a freak accident where he was chicken winged and had his elbow fractured, he missed 1 or 2 games in 4 seasons..?????

Came back 4 weeks early from his elbow injury and played out the rest of the season averaging 96..?

yet you advise him to get Pavlich based on him rarely missing games, and that was true prior to 2008.

But in the past two season's he has missed 3 games in each with soft tissue injuries..?

Kangaroos will struggle to win more than 5 games in 2010 IMO. Add to this Harvey getting tagged... I don't like it. At his age it's a matter of time before he misses games through injury, and even small injuries mean big weeks. To risky.

Of course its all guess work... The main reason I pointed out Harvey was he looked to be the ideal replacement for Trengove, who wasn't in this guys team so your point is irrelevant anyway. Leaving Trengove out is a bad move, if he averages 60-70 and you can spend 230k difference from Harvey elsewhere its a no brainer.

Seeing as you're from Canada I'll help you out, I know what I'm doing... sort of.

Trade down Mackie to J.Hunt and then use the extra cash to upgrade Cornes or Scotland to Goddard. You need Goddard in the backline, Cornes has been unimpressive.

Midfield is fine. Salopek is a good pick who will improve but can easily be swapped to Ball or Cooney if you change your mind.

Rucks are fine. Skipper (Injured) and Cordy won't play so I'd look at R.Warnock if you have the money and also M.Lobbe.

Forwardline: trade Okeefe down to B.Hall and then trade Podsiadly or G.Rohan up to B.Warren or P.Dangerfield if you have the cash. Hitchcock will play from round 1 and score decently. Gumbleton will play if he doesn't injure himself before round 1. Rohan may as well.

But really if you are going to have 2 young guys on the field it should be in the midfield and in defence, the forwards are a little risky and a mature player like Ben Warren or Dangerfield (Who are in for a good year) is a safer option.

sorry man probably a bit harsh on you, i'd look to downgrade one of your backs like scotland or carrazo to someone around the josh hunt/rick ladson price range, and then you could upgrade one of those forwards.
