It's an interesting team. Not without it's appeal either.

Backs are good and a cple of unique players in Stewart & Farmer. I'm seriously considering Moore for the spot as the 7th back. The fact that he can ply fwd too just helps his cause.

Mids look handy but any reason why Deledio?? First time I've seen anyone here pick him. Armitage is a real punt IMO especially with 2 starting rookies already in your team.

Can't say I disagree with your ruck analysis.

Fwds look good but the obvious issues/risks are an over excited Hall or a sporadic Ballantyne. Hall may get a "rest" every now and then which kills a SC every time.

With Cotchin and Martin coming into the Tigers lineup, Deledio won't automatically get the tag like he has in the past, as such I expect his average to increase. Armitage is a punt but one that I expect to pay off handsomely. Averaged 97 from 3 games last year and 88 so far this preseason. The rookies I've picked for the midfield should make plenty of cash and early on too as they should all be playing from round 1. Hall is a risk but I get the feeling he'll be a lot calmer playing at the Dogs, seems to me that when things are going well on the park Hall is less likely to snap as I don't recall too many incidents during the Swans GF run, while Ballantyne is nothing more than a cash cow at this stage. There is scope for change though as I'm waiting for a next weeks rookie elevations to be announced.

Gods gift has the following thoughts for you.
you've tried to even your team out too much. You have way too much money sitting on your benches and you are going to waste too many trades upgrading players throughout the year. There are alot of low priced rookie midfielders that will get game time this year. Barlow/Shuey/Moles just to name a few.

Backs - Drummond scores well, but IS injury prone, soft tissue injuries seem to catch up with him at some point every season. Last season, he missed 3, but was his best season in terms of games played. He is a risk/reward type player. I like him personally. Hodge i believe is in for a big year. With Sewell out for the first few weeks, should see him have more time in the midfield. After that, its a little weak. Krakour if played correctly by port adelaide as a rebounding half back, should improve on his numbers, and once again, you have Jamison sitting on your bench.. waste of money..! Pick a rookie, you already have Waters covering. Webberley/Carlisle or even Silvagni if he gets elevated are much better options which frees up some cash to use on players in your starting 22!

Mids - More mid range players, lacks the scoring potential of midfields i've seen that include Ablett, Dal Santo, Hayes, Swan. Vince has huge potential, Ball averages a point for every minute he is on the ground. More game time = More points.

McIntosh or Clark are better options than jolly.
Less stoppages, and will spend less time in the ruck than at sydney, expect to see his average drop a little.
McEvoy is a waste of money on your bench considering you have warnock to cover any injuries.

Forwards - I like your forward line, except for the selection of Ben Reid on the bench. Rockliff/Hitchock have played extemely well and for $70K less you can upgrade another player in your starting 22. Ben Reid may struggle to get games as he has in previous years.

Overall, you can improve your team drastically, by identifying the first year players that look like getting game time, so you can spend more money on the players that are actually doing the scoring for you.

i really like this team.
Very unique setup.

Your forward line is EPIC..! you can afford to downgrade one player and start Rohan or Rockliff. Maybe Murphy for Hitchcock..? Gives you another $250K to player with.

So your sitting with $390K with a fairly solid team in front of you. Where can you improve your team the most.

Waites a big risk early..? maybe waite, to an Enright/Hargrave price range.

$280K left.

Maybe upgrade Walker to Vince..?

Use your money wisely, and i think you will have a good year.

Definitely have some advice for you.
Don't change anything..!

you lack a premium ruckman, but fingers crossed Cox is injured again, which will see big Naita average close to 90!

Looking at individual players, these are my question marks.

- Will Goddard's average drop moving forward..? and then intern.
- Which St Kilda defender will improve their numbers without Goddard down back..?
- Will Drummond miss 3 or more games..?
- Will Silvagni be promoted off the rookie list..?
-Will Goodes have a slow start or average drop due to playing CHF..?

If you know the answer's to these questions, let me know..!

Tough Questions.
Goodes did score a 227 against the tigers playing alot of the game forward.
But his consistency will drop i believe playing at CHF.
If it doesn't appear to be working, will they put him back into the midfield..?
He is a SC gun.

O'Keefe could get a tag, but is a very good player and durable too.

Pavlich, i have changed my thoughts on him so many times.
Looked woeful the other night against the saints.

Unfortunately Premium Forward talent is hard to find this season without saying, he's good, BUT....

But if you don't have any other upgrades in mind, there's no point downgrading Goodes to O'Keefe/Pavlich/Brown.

good Overall but just a few tips IMO
-Harvey is gunna b 32 soon and looks 'tired' 2 me he is becoming susceptible 2 injury, i had him untill i did some research.
- Cotchin is not 100% and is doubtful to play more than 15 games i think,. especially at the business end.
- I dont think Ablett is worth it at the moment he wont b such a hog this year becuase he finally got his brownlow
- If you can i would go Shuey for Morabito
-Cooney is a top buy has had his 1st full preseason ever and is over his brownlow hangover plus the dogs should be strong
-Finally McDonald tends 2 be a bit of a punch player and tends to have some poor games although he has hig effictivness maybe a swap Knelley or Jamison can free up some cash.

My only comment that I think you should consider is how many players in your team you will need to trade up to premiums and how many trades is it going to cost you to do so?

You have a lot of mid ranged players. Your success will be determined by how many of these manage to make the transition to Premium status.

By the way I disagree with your thoughts on Harvey. He has never had problems with soft tissue injuries that can be recurring and I haven't noticed him slowing down too much yet. Even if he spends more time down forward this year, which he will, he still has the potential to post big scores. Just my thoughts.

Obviously your forward line will lack depth round 1 with Franklin out.
But if Franklin and Hall fire this year, you have plenty of depth..!

Here is an alternative that could work..?

Goddard out for Fisher - Save $123K
Jetta out for Moles - Save $25K
Goodes out for O'Keefe - Save $31K
Ziebell out for Warren - Save $60K

All up with you $40K, should give you about $280K.

Upgrade Hille to McIntosh and Dangerfield to Tippet.

That way you can use the MPP with Lobbe and Tippet being interchangeable..?

This is an option, but i wouldn't worry too much about your forward line because i think your looking at it from a $$$ point of view.

Franklin is underpriced, remember he did average 110 the previous year and Hall looks like he did 5 years ago, has averaged over 100 in his 2 NAB games.
Better delivery, more inside 50's and he looks composed and very hungry. Could very well turn in a $500K player for you this year.

Dangerfield's switch to the midfield will see his average jump by 20 points and Ziebell is a tank who will get plenty of oppurtunity in Norths young midfield.

You have a handy team though.

Backs are pretty handy without being spectacular. Not sure Davis will play. Shoenmakers might be a good pick up but probably no better than a rookie.

Mids are good. Cross is interesting. Great as a DT player, not so much as a SCer. Lots of handballs but he is a bit undervalued IMO but really need a better player as your 3rd midfielder.

Very strong rucks. Will NicNat score that well with Cox back??

The usual suspects in the fwd line. Polkinghorne could be a winner but suggest you drop either one of teh last 3, go a rookie and upgrade your midfield.

i like this team.

Goodwin is maybe a bit old but still he puts in a good score. The rest look pretty well poised.

Interesting mids. Boak is a curious one. Why???? Same with Connors. Not say rioght or wrong but first time i've seen this combination.

Charman is a bit too expensive to be sitting on the bench.

Lots of guns in that fwd line. Could go large or Hall could reek havoc. Either way, shoudl be interesting.

Brent Harvey is $499K.
He has averaged over 100 every year of supercoach, except last season.
Fractured his elbow and missed his first game/games in 4 years.
Averaged 96.1 after coming back from elbow surgery.
Will average close to 100 again this season in my opinion.

Robbie Gray $449K
Looked fantastic against the saints. Scored 99.
Apparently is moving into the midfield permanently with Kane Cornes playing a half forward role now. Lightning fast and knows how to kick a goal. Expect him to average into the 90's this season. I like him

I have $154K in the bank and could have more $$$ (Morabito > Barlow) and wondering if upgrading Reid to Hall would be money best spent?

Up to you mate, you'd be getting rid of Franklin to get Gray in.
Just depends what Lance Franklin shows up this year. Surely would have to average better than last year..?
