Yarran is not a cash cow. If you buy him now, at his price, you pretty much have to keep him otherwise you're wasting a trade for about $100k profit. Definitely not worth it.

Same with Kennedy, I don't think he will be able to keep up with the top line SC midfielders like Swan, Judd, Ablett, Selwood, Pendles, Cross etc. Same could be said for Anthony, who again at that price, needs to become a keeper. I think he will easily average 95-100 as he has shown, however whether he can improve to get the extra 10-15ppg I'm not too sure.

Even Knights is a fairly risky one, to make the $150-200k that you're looking for with a cash cow he has to average the best part of 85 ppg. This from a player who is injury prone and has had injury worries in the pre season.

You seem to be changing your team around quite frequently.

The beauty of supercoach, so many different things to choose from.

I am not sold on Yarran, am seriously thinking just going for the premium/rookie team I posted a few pages back, bar maybe one or two players.

I think KEnnedy is one player who can jump into that 'elite' category, same goes for Anthony, if they both play 22 games, they will be 100 + ppg players, mark my words.

As for Knights, he is in the best 22, and at that price he only needs to average something like 50 to increase his price. surely he can do that?

If Knghts averages 50 he may go up a couple of thousand. For him to become a cash cow at $257k he needs to average at least 80 to make $150k - That's a fairly big risk

And like I said earlier Yarran needs to average even more than that

You have a lot of work to do. Backs are good. Get hodge out of your mids, he has had an injury plagued pre-season and will be eased in slowly, regardless of that he should be in your backs. Charman is just too risky and I wouldnt be surprised if this is his last season. Your forward line is pretty terrible. Chapman is not a good option because of his injury concerns. For me you have to many mid priced players in there, downgrade one to a rookie and upgrade another to a premo.

Far too many Collingwood players Teaky, what will you do when they have the bye?
Also having all of Chapman, Didak and Higgins who are all under injury clouds is quite risky!
Maybe you should ask your mate Rob about how to go about choosing a winning team, mate.

Players don't need to average 110 ppg to be a good investment for the year. With 24 trades this year you are able to take these risks and look and making a profit from these players.

And on Yarran, I am quite confident he will be able to reach the 90 ppg average he'd need to be a very good buy.

jolly is a slow starter...
chapman is a supercoach gun but wont play all games, franklin/goodes?
didak is past it, higgins is considered by some a keeper but too expensive for me...
stock standard back line like most others...
solid midfield, i see you going the 3 starting rookies...
i like the team just not the forward line.

Im curious Pez at what your team looks like. Not to get tips for my team but everyone elses team unless it looks like yours is not up to scratch.
So you dont have any players between $150K and $450K?
I'v liked reading your comments but people need to remember to go for their instincs. one mans trash may be another mans supercoach treasure.
Higgins has come up a bit. I know he has had injuries but he has done a full pre-season and looks good. I see it as having more reward than risk. If he is injured i will use a trade. But i have faith.
Same with knights and yarran, tho not a keeper i dont think, worth getting them to over $400 and turning them into premiums.
Then again, what the hell would i know?

Higgins is a lock.
Every player has an element of risk. I wouldn't really call him injury prone, just has had really bad luck thus far in his career.

Easily one of the best valued players this year. Expect very big things.

Mzungu is out for 12 weeks or so so need to look at swapping him out.
I have never been a fan of Robert Murphy either (for SC) he burnt me a few times. But a mate of mine is swearing on him this year to shine so who knows?

You obviously know your stuff, Pez, but I'd say that looking at the forwards crop this year, you've got to make a gamble on a Yarran/Higgins/Knights/Petrie and just hope like hell it pays off. There's just not that many obvious cash cows in there.
