I think that Worsfold is a bloke that is set in his ways and wouldnt listen to anybody. New coach might give Burns a little chance to show what he has to offer us

I can't believe Gibbs had 45 possessions and Murphy 36 possessions. How can you not just play a negative tag on guys like that when they are dominating so much? The tactics of the coaching staff leave a lot to be desired.

There's a pretty low poor correlation between number of possessions and winning and for a guy who touched it 45 times Gibbs wasn't amazingly damaging.

I think the eagles board needs to take some drastic steps. Get rid of Worsfold and is tree year plan. Get rid of Sumich(been there to long) Metropolis, Keep Burns. Get a new team of recruiters The Woodhouse brothers don't seem to be getting it right. The whole squad should be savagely assessed. Gone Lynch Embley Nicoski and Kerr. How many decent games has Kerr played since signing a contract a couple of years ago.

Agree totally. This team is an embarassment and a disgrace. As Dennis Commetti said, one of the most flattering 30 point losses ever. A few goals and stellar performances by two of the good players in a very ordinary team paper over the gaping holes. Going nowhere. Why weren't T Banfield, J Garlett, and N Jetta recruited? Instead we've got these muscle bound Victorian spuds like J Jones, A Smith and Selwood. This team is appalling. Where does the buck stop? A pop gun midfield. No pace, no skill. Worst team in the AFl. Must throw everything at Daniel Rich to get a midfield maestro. Kerr, sadly, is total rubbish, playing on memories.

This is the first time I have posted and I am actually a Freo fan. But I have to say that having umpired WAFL footy, Matthew Nicholls' performance today was as close to being biased as I have ever seen.

Yes the Eagles were smashed but I don't think Nicholls paid one free kick to the Eagles and he missed some deadset certainties.

The other problem out there today was umpire Jeff Dalgleish trying so hard to find Carlton free kicks and not be accused of a WA bias. He was like a rabbit in the spotlights today and also very poor.

I did like the way the Eags stayed in the contest till the end. It was nice to not have Carlton smash them completely.

Bacchus: Piss Spangher off too. With N.Krakouer being selected at pick 39, and Spangher selected at pick 34, a straight swap or trading out Spangher for a pick in the 30's, would help the WCE in snaring N.Krakouer.

WC were absolutely r*ped by the umpires in the first qtr that was a disgrace. Carlton had 2 goals in the first qtr from free kicks that weren't there as well as the advantage to Judd given for the first goal which shouldn't have been the Eagles players were about to tackle him and then they stopped and he continued and the umpire said play on. So the Eagles were down by 3 goals at qtr time should've been only 1 goal. The second qtr wasn't bad Eagles did alright Carlton couldn't move the ball freely through the midfield. The start of the 3rd qtr was like the Eagles of the Judge era in 2000-01. Raining goals with no pressure at all. After that the Eagles were alright but **** me this midfield is a disgrace. The forward line is good and the defense decent but the midfield is by far the worst in the league. Embley and A.Selwood both have to go. Priddis can stay only if he accepts getting only 60-70% gametime if he doesn't he should be traded.

I'm sure it's been said, but 70%+ of our centre bounce set ups had Priddis, (either) Selwood, and Ebert. We aren't going to win many games with that

yeah good win today by carlton, on kennedy he`s starting to be a great target up front, really maturing nicely.

I love it how we now blame our lack of efficiency (up forward) on our poor midfield, and back in the day when we had a champion midfield we blamed it on the poor forwards.

The real reason is we have a poor game plan and a coach who has no ****in idea what he is doing.

I am so over this team at the moment, so much hope going into 2010, so much disappointment.

It appears more and more people on here are only now starting to catch on and call for Woosha's head, just like they were slow to catch onto Nico, Staker and Fletch.

You can't be serious. The reason we weren't in the game wasn't the umpires. And I didn't think that the umpires were bad to us at all. The midfield are absolutely dire. Besides the Roos, Adelaide and Richmond who is worse?
