Interesting that Gibbs suspension gave Nicky G more time in the middle/on the ball, and he really delivered today, his decision making and hitting targets by foot was great.

Bell was bog, with Dre, Bucks, Denny and Wood in the honours.

Funny how a month in footy makes, Holman's zest was infectious today.

NG for rising star nomination this week ?

Kreuz- fantastic to see that kind of game from him, 19 touches & all those 1%ers. Hands look good too.

Bell- our most improved player. Still only played 40 odd games so I expect his biggest flaw, decision making, to get even better. It's certainly improve immeasurably the last 12-18 months

Murph- playing like a captain, I love it.

Everitt- enjoying his form as a 3rd marking option up forward. Kicking goals and applying pressure.

Buckley- heaps more composed today and his disposal by foot was a highlight.

All in all, not the greatest spectacle to watch, but a win is a win. Quick question: is Nick Holman's left leg always that good? And his hands? Knew he could tackle and was hard at it, really impressed with his disposal and quickness of mind when he came on.

2 in a row, up the Baggers!!

Nicky G certainly had a solid game! Lets hope it's a sign of a great future for the team.

People seem to forget Menz seemed proppy when coming back on, probably got an injection. His stats are not indicative of 3 full quarters of footy.
my beef is he goes missing for massive periods of time though the game. stats defiantly dont tell the full story. more time i think. maybe just needs a bigger tank

Would not risk Menzel next week. Needs to be rested.
To be honest, not many I can see that need to be dropped after today but Ellard seems to lack impact compared to the rest.
Holman should be given another game after that last quarter.

Holman seemed to have a touch of class with ball in hand. Seems to have a penetrating left boot with a bit of pace

I sort of gathered he was a bit of an inside battler from the VFL reports.

Thoughts Harks? Are you surprised at all?

Not at all but watch Boekhorst when he starts spearing them into the forward 50
