I dreamt 2 nights ago that I was playing for the hawks in a gf against Freo. We won something like 54 - 9 behinds, but I had an absolute shocker. I had a bad case of the Selwood fumbles and, when I did manage to take possession, for some reason just couldn't put boot to ball. I was so damn worried I wouldn't get a kick for the whole game and would be one of those much maligned players like Spud McG etc. I ended up successfully making contact with one kick but it went OOF. Still got a Premiership medallion, though, and wasn't subbed off :thumbsu:

Dew was talking on the Redneck Radio sports program last night & said Heeney & Pyke will be in for the game.

I guess that means:

Heeney in for ???
Pyke in for Tippett
??? in for Richards

Bird and Richards are huge outs for them which totally offsets the loss of the Gov.
I wouldn't be so sure. Last week was the first time Bird has played senior footy since round 5, Tom Mitchell has kept him playing reserves for the past couple of months. Richards I honestly think is cooked :(, gets outbodied too easily and can't keep up any more on the lead. Kennedy would kick 5-6 on him if he played.

I expect Reid to go back and play as a KPD, Heeney to come in for Bird, Laidler in for Richards, Pyke in for Tippett, and perhaps B.Jack to get dropped for Towers or a debutant like Rose.

Need Yeo in the middle.

Bloods mids are Kennedy aside, small bodied and have been bullied into submission by Freo and the hawks.

Hannebery has the pain threshold of Chris Mayne and I guarantee at least once the commentators will call him as being done for the night, only for him to return Lazarus like to field of battle.

Selwood in 2012 was far more aggressive in pushing, whacking and tacking of his direct opponent and he needs to go back to his buffeting best and block Mitchell who will likely tag Shuey.

WC by 6 points.

West Coast are +53, 2nd behind Richmond at +65.

I saw this stat posted somewhere before the last round - West Coast ranking in free kick differential over the past 10 years:
2006 - 2nd
2007 - 1st
2008 - 1st
2009 - 7th
2010 - 1st
2011 - 2nd
2012 - 1st
2013 - 1st
2014 - 3rd
2015 - 2nd

Over 10 years West Coast are +743 in free kicks which is pretty insane. And have only lost two free kick counts at home since 2012, including one to Fremantle.

I don't know if it's the umpires being intimidated by the crowd or West Coast playing like angels, but I do know it's unlikely to make much difference to the pumping we receive on Sunday!
Well the fact that we are consistently on the top, no matter where we are on the ladder, says more about our discipline IMO. Even our spoon year we were first!

You can take the crowd out, because we usually get more free kicks away as well.

If you look at the total number of free kicks we are fifth behind Richmond, North, Carlton and Brisbane. Richmond have had about 80 more frees than us this year!

The difference is we are 18th for total number of frees against.

Discipline.

Yeah you could be right, who really knows? If you were a Victorian team I'd have a gripe with it. However if you play the Hawks in a GF and beat them by 1 point with a lopsided free kick count in your favour, I'll be happy!

Muzza to do a Cousins style comeback game against the swans, which was the last time we beat them................coincidence, I think not!

Look forward to 2 minute standing ovation when he runs on.

Got my banner ready for the game. Newman, we applaud what you've overcome!
