Evans very fast becoming the most overrated player by this board. 11 touches and a goal in the reserves last weekend.

Higgins clearly is an afl standard placeholder until someone earns a place in the team. Evans or otherwise. I would prefer patience and let these guys build a block of games of solid form first but that’s just me.

it's another ridiculous birth date name argument the one you were referring to. Evans clearly is not up to it at the moment. Has not looked at the level at all this year and was ordinary in the VFL. That's right the VFL! Some people on this board are so wedded to their arguments that they don't even appear to pay any attention about how (insert young name here) is actually playing.

Hai welcher.
Haven’t left yet I see ;)

Good opponent last Friday. Naturally therefore Parfitt was dogshit. Surpasses 20 touches 27.5% of matches he plays in. A mid 2 games away from his 100th match and he’s gone past the low bar of 20 possies 27 times. Star. In. The. Making.

a-hole’s and opinions. We all have 1. No different here.

I just don’t agree with the repeated calls for Evans. His role is already taken by two players (both young) and soon to be 3 with Miers imminent (also young).

Art you do realise it is quite important for anyone hoping to be taken even remotely seriously in their analysis of players to focus on more than possession numbers don't you?? I work with elite juniors and have to teach them not to do exactly what you do in assessing performance. This is a phrase that might help. When assessing talent or performance it is not how many but how you win them that matters. If you ever wanted a decent example then look at the Essendon mids against us. They all had "good" games by your measurements getting 30 plus possessions. They got so many junk touches that didn't impact the game at all and resulted in their side getting absolutely smashed. Yet as I said by your simple analysis technique one could make the point they had good games.

Worth considering Sir. I promise it will help you work out the quality of a footballer in a more reasoned way.

About as crazy as discussing each game in here but never bothering to watch any game?/?

See that’s the thing.
I don’t discuss any game.

I haven’t watched any preseason or season proper game for any team.
So I have zero idea on any club other than seeing results.

So I though maybe I’d come here and look up what match ups and worries there may be as I’ll probably watch this.

But nope, just your drivel about content unrelated to the game.

Quality over quantity, yes?

This is absolutely laughable unless you think the two men are on a completely different page and aren't regularly having robust discussion about the direction of the club and the team
You say it’s laughable, but all the talk from hocking about quickly blooding young players has resulted in what?

Nowhere did i suggest they don’t talk to each other than one comment said in jest. But if one guy says one thing, and the other isn’t doing it, what do you suggest is happening here? Stubborn coach wanting to do it his way and stuff everyone else?

So you think Hocking has said to Scott I want youngsters played no matter what and Scott has ignored him or just doesn't care?

No they would have discussed it at length before the pre-season. He talked about it a few times. What has happened from here is anyones guess. Hopefully it starts to change soon and we see another 2-3 young players get rotated in.

I thought he led up well, kicked a goal and gave off another against Essendon. I must have imagined it!

No-one has made any great claims for him, but he hasn't been as bad as you claim either.
