Not good from Geelong. Should be thankful Collingwood have missed so many shots.
They look better setup around the stoppages and through the middle of the ground.

Just appears it will be left to Dangerfield and Selwood yet again.

I reckon Stewart gets alot of cheapies
And? He also wins a lot of hard 1v1's and when every else is a bit down has so many times been the guy keeping us afloat down back.

Of the younger players - i think Holmes has been dissappointing - dropped a couple of basic o/head marks

Duncan - ive seen pensioners at a bus stop move better than him

5 mins into the 2nd quarter Selwood, Cameron and Danger had 10 clangers combined. You can't win games with those stats.

Our defence stood up really well getting absolutely pummeled. SDK looked really really impressive.

The pies are throwing men up to the ball. If we can be smart with it and get through the wave of pressure there are easy goals to be had out the back.

Our young players look out of it so far.
Henry, Close, Holmes, Stengle, Ratugolea . . . need a lift from them in the second half.
Too much reliance on Stewart, Selwood and Dangerfield at the moment.

Result of a very high collingwood press. If you get it out the back you get efficiency.

God help us all if geelong tries to do a high press. You need players capable of applying pressure to pull that one off.

Also takes a quality coach to recognize what is happening at halftime and make necessary adjustments.

Let's see if Scott flips it around shall we.

At the game. The wind is tricky which is why we are seeing more errors than normal. But, we are terrible in adapting to this chaos ball type game. Too many players panic and drop simple marks, fumble under pressure or make basic skill errors. Hand balling to a teammate under the pump has happened far too often.

Really worried about Duncan. He looks completely underdone. No touch at all.

Higgins is a liability. Should be his last game.

Depends on their commitment to trying to make this quick fast game plan work. It looks like it does not suit us, so let’s see how far we get into the year before they abandon it or make some major tweaks to it throughout the week. Not something that can be done mid game thought

So frustrating to watch us make basic , basic errors between the arcs and turn it over constantly.
You have to advance it into F50 from those possessions, we have the forwards to make it happen if we can just retain and advance the footy.
Instead we turn it over and cannot , cannot get it back - how easy are we to advance the ball against?

SDK has been great and Stengel seems to not panic and make great decisions when he gets it up the ground. Apart from those two Hawk and Jezza could dominate if we just get it down there.

We really should be 30 points down , hoping we can correct in the second half and show something 🙄

Agree on Duncan. Higgins made one bad blue but otherwise has been good.

What we want : Fast Free Flowing Fabulous Football
What we watched : Form Fumbles Frustrating Farce

There are a lot of passengers tonight
Only some are just out of form.

Holmes: limited touches but using the ball well
SDK: starting to settle and not rush his possessions.
