Yes true, you said there were posters saying if we played quicker football we'd win Grand Finals by 10+ goals.
Not 1 poster ever said anything like that.
All they did was bemoan a slow unattractive style of football and continued failure in finals.
If you're going to fail anyway, atleast do it playing an attacking style of football.

They played off in a GF 4 years ago and appear to have rejuvenated their list with youth.

Our biggest issue is we panic as though it's hot potato the very moment a team begins to turn the screws. We see it in the VFL as well. There is serious disconnect going on with our coaches.

The moment we had the brawl, we went jelly legged and have conceded 6-7 goals in succession. It's a pattern we see in the finals.

We played that way for a reason and it was to cover up large deficiencies in the playing group we have

Mostly from Scott out idiots. Now we're seeing what a preference to play on footy gets us.

Contracts were put to both McCarthy & Cockatoo, but they choose to look at other options & head north

There may be more to the Clark story and the talk was of him going him for 12+ months prior to the trade happening; maybe a bit of homesickness and a preference to be with family

Gardiner has played 24 games across 3.5 seasons with the Bulldogs - not exactly settled

As for Jones, you've handpicked one game. He played 14 games in his first couple of seasons with the Eagles, and yes he had a good game in week one but we need to remember that WCE is currently really short on players, so one would hope those senior players available do step up. The question is how does he go when they get the bulk of their players back

And... as much as I love Cameron as a player, there's not much point having him in a downward traveling team and those draft picks might have come in handy with regenerating this aging slow list.
