Do you mean the game he kicked 8 goals but we lost? That was in 2008. I think that's the last time I went to that ground, after the siren there was a bit of a fight in the crowd between a north supporter who only had one eye and the Geelong fans.

The 2007 game Boomer kicked 3 in the first 15 mins if I recall correctly. I remember my Geelong supporting relatives driving me back to Melbourne, and there was a campaign called "GROT" at the time... "get rid of Thompson". They left the radio on the biased Geelong station in the car, and all the talkback callers were lamenting that they were going no where.
