Freo playing good footy and Optus hasn't held the best memories for our club in the last few years. Need a full strength side if we want any chance at this.
Libba comes straight back assuming he is ready.

We have won 4 out of our last 5 games against the WA clubs there

Lobb has certainly made it difficult. Not sure how we do it but I'd be reluctant to go full 4-headed monster again. However when we last did that Darcy was much greener and the four of them had less understanding of how to make it work together. It might work but I just feel Freo would find a way to exploit it.

If we do play all four + Timmy I think Bramble stays and it's Williams out. Williams was made to look slow at times last night.

I'll be fascinated to see whether Richards still gets some CBAs even with Libba back. I know you think it was a flop but if nothing else the change-ups kept the opposition guessing.

Not convinced VDM goes out but maybe it's either him or Gallagher (who did OK last night). Both suffered heavy hits last night in brave contests. Or maybe VDM's knock will keep him out for a week and save the selectors some headaches?

EDIT: Just saw the post above. So maybe no Marra ... and both VDM and Bramble stay.

Richard’s not so much a flop. I think it played out as expected.

Will be interesting to see what the coaches do with Libba coming in as you’d expect Richard’s out to accommodate. 22CB attendances is a huge number though, so maybe it wasn’t just a random decision for the this week.

I’m with you. Williams poor and needs to go. Bramble probably stays and Richards to the wing would work.

4 headed monster waits another week by the looks of it.

I'm giving Sanders the week off/in the VFL. He's been a first choice player throughout his footballing career including at AFL level. I'd like to light a bit of a fire under him and see how he responds to not being an automatic selection. And TBH, I don't think he is at the moment, especially with Libba coming back in.

I'd leave Marra at home so he can resolve his personal stuff without the practicalities of being dragged across the country hanging over him.

In short, Libba for Sanders.

In: Libba
Out: Bramble

Liberatore is an obvious in if he passes all his tests. Richards was solid in the midfield I thought and in the medium-long term its definitely a position we’ll have to consider for him, has a lot of good traits for the role, but for the short term he is definitely more beneficial in defense. Would keep Jones, JOD and Buku as the bigger guys and Dale, Duryea and Johannisen look like our best smalls which probably means Bramble needs to make way, but I’ve liked the majority of his work thus far.

Doesn’t sound like Ugle-Hagan will be back for it. If he is it’s just bad luck for Lobb, no 4 headed monster for me. Lobb had a good game but he is well behind the other three in my opinion and only gets in with an injury to Naughton, Darcy, English or Ugle-Hagan.

Was impressed by Harmes game as well. Don’t like him as a half forward/wing, hasn’t played well there in the past, but thought he was good in that role last night. Not confident that he will be great there going forward but has earned another chance.

watching Bevos presser seems like Bramble will stay in. not sure what he sees that i don't he was horrible last night. Caught out defensively and doesn't offer much offensively give me Caleb back at half back

He's had a down past 2 weeks but he was pretty bloody good earlier in the season.

In saying that, he doesn't have enough credits in the bank to have multiple down weeks and should have a spell in the 2's. Caleb is not the answer in the defensive half. We're slowly getting away from that and building a well rounded defence with no significant defensive weaknesses.

One thing I did notice about Bramble was when he was kicking out he was prepared to go long and clear the 50

Seemed that the short kick was not the preferred option was prepared to look at a target long

not saying he is the answer but offers more than Bramble.

Why would 17 other clubs take Caleb to play half back but we won't when we have him.

Bramble couldn't get a game at the Hawks yet people on here rate him.

Some on here wanted Dale out after a couple of not great games. have a look at last night. Good players don't just lose it at 27. Caleb still would be in our best 10 players and last year come 4th in our B&F yet got thrown everywhere. i just don't understand.

Caleb could run 15 and kick it to 60 as well. Not hard to do. He is so creative and we are wasting him in the 2s and probably going to lsoe him at the end of the year for a pick in the 30s/40s

Apart from the one game that he came on as a sub though Daniel has not actually played that well this season. He had 11 touches in 52% TOG before being subbed out, and just 16 touches despite the big win in 89% TOG against West Coast. He then played a decent but not amogn the bests game in the VFL that is required for a player of his skill to force his way back into the team.

If he was good enough to demand selection ... he would have played better in the games he's currently playing this season.

Just Lobb and Macrae last night, he'll have a role to play when others are unavailable. We'll also inevitably play games in wet or bad conditions where his clean hands and one-touch nature come into value. That doesn't mean he should have gotten a game last week or next...

I don't think people are rating Bramble they're just understanding he's quick and offers unique strengths compared to our other players. People call out for legspeed out of defence ... and complain when we recruit a type like that in Bramble. Can't have it both ways!

17 clubs wouldn't have him at half back and the only ones that would suck
