Well for Christmas he picked out a Baby Yoda clock, then after I told him we couldn't tell her what it was, told her in public that we got her "a ****"

Good times.

EDIT: Oh wow thought that would be censored :straining:

I pre-emptively ruined my mother's Mother's Day by offering to cook breakfast for all of her kids/grandkids to come and see her only to find out my sister was in the middle of half-assedly organising an afternoon tea. Having to decline the offer made her feel guilty and it'll be all she thinks about on Sunday.

What are we talking here, your classic bacon and eggs, a fancy fry up, pancakes, waffles?

Won't your sister be there for the breakfast?

Anyone have any experience/advice selling old cars (unlicensed) around Perth?

TL;DR I moved house last year and an old car of mines rego slipped beyond 3 months meaning said car has to go over the pits. Car is a 20ish year old falcon I CBFed making the effort to getting it over the pits and was already planning on getting an upgrade in the next few months. Car still runs fine but is pretty clapped out l, has a few leaks and other minor issues.

If someone knows someone that knows someone or has other advice for my dumbass situation would help cheers.

Was going to do bacon, eggs and blueberry pancakes. Yoghurt tubs for anyone boring.

Can't have two family things at two separate houses (one of which is in Mundaring) on Mother's Day because the other mothers (in-law) will be denied their special time.

Basically is it ever worth making the effort to get it over the pits or just take a couple hundred bucks to send it to the glue factory

Depends - inspection and rerego will cost a minimum $400 (6 months rego) assuming your car will pass without any need for repairs. If you're trading it in to somewhere like Skippers you'll get $3k for it, but if you're going to sell privately you'll have to weigh up how much you can get for it vs the expense of getting it licensed again.

It's worth looking into a wreckers who may give you the price you'd get without it being licensed.

Yeah I mean didn't your sister already know about the breakfast?

Nah, I made sure to run it by mum before inviting anyone and she told me sister had called shotgun.

Ahhh right. Your mum is obviously a very sweet lady if she feels bad about turning down your offer.

But really you've jack potted - you'll get the kudos for making the offer and now you have to do FA and get to sleep in. Win.

Celebrating Mother's Day shouldn't fill you with worry
I really don’t like non normal Sundays. I hate it.
Even now when I literally get 5 days of work every 2nd week, you’d think “ah it’s just one day”, but it’s so tedious. All of them.

****ing hallmark occasions
