Forget the presents and take them out for lunch. My 4yr and 7 month old aren't going to do it
Forget the presents and take them out for lunch.
You're right about that, I don't . As for lunch with mother in law, good luck.Seeing my wife's Mum for lunch already, and it's a nightmare going for any type of meals with my eldest. You don't follow this thread much do you?
I pre-emptively ruined my mother's Mother's Day by offering to cook breakfast for all of her kids/grandkids to come and see her only to find out my sister was in the middle of half-assedly organising an afternoon tea. Having to decline the offer made her feel guilty and it'll be all she thinks about on Sunday.

What are we talking here, your classic bacon and eggs, a fancy fry up, pancakes, waffles?
Won't your sister be there for the breakfast?
Basically is it ever worth making the effort to get it over the pits or just take a couple hundred bucks to send it to the glue factory
Can't have two family things at two separate houses (one of which is in Mundaring) on Mother's Day because the other mothers (in-law) will be denied their special time.
Yeah I mean didn't your sister already know about the breakfast?
Nah, I made sure to run it by mum before inviting anyone and she told me sister had called shotgun.
Live interstate and overseas from parents and inlaws. Not a worry in the world this weekend.
I really don’t like non normal Sundays. I hate it.Celebrating Mother's Day shouldn't fill you with worry
