A heads up for coffee aficionados. Workshop Bros Melbourne Southbank has the best coffee I can remember having. Although I am getting on.

There was a time when I didn’t particularly care much for Nadal but the longer his career has gone the more I’ve respected him

Djokovic the opposite

Always liked Federer

Not that I’m a massive tennis fan. Only occasionally watch it

Pretty much exactly the same. Fed always classy, Djokovic lovable goof now an absolute twat, Nadal an arrogant knob now a statesman of the game.

Nadal was always a legend imo. His English might make him seem less likeable than Djoko, but Novak’s always been a twat.

Rafa is a legend. Really classy dude.
In my head Roger Federer will always be that single mm ahead of him, despite the numbers, but he’s just such a legend.

Novak can go play in the traffic

Yeah I'm up for good movie shouts tonight. Netflix, Stan, Disney. Whachu got?
Not a movie, but my old man has recommended a doco about the 1983 America's Cup on Netflix. I intend to watch it. Here is the blurb -

Relive the magic of the 1983 America’s Cup in The Race of the Century, a new episode of Netflix’s Untold Series, available today. The hour-and-a-half documentary tells the story of an underdog group of Australians who set out to dethrone the New York Yacht Club’s 132-year winning streak in the world’s most prestigious sailing race.

Directed by Emmy Award-winning brothers Chapman and Maclain Way and produced by Ben Silverman, the film features never-before-seen footage and the expertise of the likes of John Bertrand, Dennis Conner and other key members of the 1983 U.S. and Australian crews.

“The 1983 America’s Cup is an incredible story of characters and patriotism,” says Chapman Way. “What really fascinated us was that the competition was less about physical athleticism and more of a test of engineering and intelligence.”

That final quote makes me laugh. Gotta love me some engineering and intelligence.

I used to watch a fair bit but I'm off it at the mo, so much dislike of kyrgios, cannot stand the pr!ck, he makes me not want to watch tennis.

This is the saddest and most pure sports moment I have ever experienced

I don’t think we have fully appreciated how blessed we have been to witness Fed at the peak of his powers.

Rafa in tears confirms how amazing that era of tennis is and we will miss it for years to come.

Watched the other night, was brilliant, a bit of a family connection in it for me so was a hair standing up moment again when she crossed the line in the last, a massive moment in Aust sport, probably number 1 for me.
