I think I’m yet to see anyone say “I’m in the group of under-$150k earners who will benefit from this but this is an outrageous breach of trust”.

The outrage seems to be coming solely from people on big salaries who’ll now get slightly less of a tax cut than they were going to get.

Which makes the Libs’ announcement that they’ll reverse Albo’s reversal even more baffling. So you’re going to make everyone on $150k or less pay more tax? And you think that’ll be a popular decision?
It will work because enough voters are stupid and gullible enough to believe the 'but you broke a promise' rhetoric without realising that they're better off

During 2023 I lost a bit over 10kg, which I'm happy with, but every time I get close to my target weight, something happens (most recently Christmas) that pushes me back up again :(

Mostly cut out junk food, alcohol and soft drink outside of special occasions like the aforementioned Christmas.

I mean, I hope you’re wrong, but people continually surprise me with how stupid they are.

I get the broken promise thing but when you replace it with cuts that seem fairer and more balanced I don’t get the criticism. And I’m far from an Albanese fan

The elephant in the room on the tax cuts is the lack of focus on the impact of bracket creep. Basically everything the government does is indexed but never tax brackets. It’s weird but given it benefits both sides not to index them it’s hardly surprising

Calories out > calories in = lose weight.

No need for weird diets.

Sure. But it's also about finding something that gives you tangible results that you can commit to and keeps you motivated.

Like I said, great for a kick-start, can't see myself sticking to it for longer than 2 months.

Bender_ I had a lot of success with keto if you ever want to pm me x

I do remember you lost an impressive amount of weight - didn’t realise it was with keto. Have you managed to keep it off whilst returning to something more balanced?

I put a bit back on after the walk because driving around Australia and then gorging in Europe was too big a temptation.

Back on the keto now and it's steadily dropping off again.

Once I'd reached my goal weight the first time I wouldn't say I went back to a balanced diet but I allowed myself a few more cheat meals and I managed okay with exercise.

I don't know if the word does it justice, but yes.

With $200 million I'd buy Norf, St Kilda, and the Doggies and merge them all into Tasmania. Back to a 16 team comp. Then with the $199.99 million dollars I'd have left over after buying those worthless kents, I'd live like a king.

EFA.

I'd still rather spend the $200m on punching Gil in the face.
