Gleeson claims vision clearly shows Lynch's knuckles making contact with Hurley's neck and chin. Lynch says he disagrees. Gleeson says a punch was thrown, Lynch disagrees.

The old say the opposite trick.
It was 100% clear on my TV - not sure where the debate comes from. One still image and it is proven

Can someone explain to me how Fremantle get an extra week at Optus stadium amd we’re out to QLD this weekend?

We played round 1 at Optus, they started in Melbourne

Ah ok that makes sense. Was about to go off because Freo also got the home derby despite the AFL knowing full well that only 1 derby was occuring this season and the attendance should have been split.

Also, we had already played Sydney before they came here, so would always get one less game.

Of course they could have sent a Victorian club instead...

Lynch was always going to get off that and Christian new it, he could have suspended him for third strike, but by sending him to the tribunal he wouldn't have to. And to be honest if one of our players got suspended for that i would be pissed.

But it wasn't even until the tribunal started that we knew what the incident had been graded as.

We need a new MRO.

Him sending this to tribunal is stupid.

He has already had 3 offences overturned this year in Yeo, Hawkins and now Lynch. Arguably McGovern shouldn't have been suspended either.

He doesn't even understand his own table of offences. The MRO and the Tribunal don't have a common view of what the AFL are trying to achieve with their table of offences in terms of what is part of the game, and what are actions that sit outside or normal play in a contact sport.

What MRO thinks constitutes a strike v what the tribunal think constitutes a strike are worlds apart.

Honestly thought they were gonna make an example of him.

Oh well.

Now we just wait until *insert random Eagle here* throws an intentional/ high sideways glance at someone and cops a week.

Without using conspiracy theories, how was Lynch different from Gov? Genuine question.

Actions are actually quite similar but context is different.

Gov ran 20 metres and had rage coming out of the pits where his eyes are meant to be. It had nothing to do with the ball, and everything to do with retribution. His contact slipped high, and in my opinion wasn't worthy of suspension.

Lynch was ruled as a high fend off and getting separation on his opponent.

Lynch's actions are much more akin to Yeo's in my mind.

The MRO should rightly be embarrassed that 3 of his offences have been overturned this year, for essentially the same thing.

So if Lynch injures one of our players this weekend do we sue the AFL for negligence?

Lynch has been a playing a dirty brand of footy, but he hasn't injured anyone.

Essendon's medical report said Hurley didn't receive any treatment.

You're being one eyed about this and needlessly parochial.

You can hate Richmond and think Lynch is a flog without being parochial tho
