Reid Injury - Calf

Oh boo hoo. If he plays and plays poorly it'll be like 'Why did we rush him back in'. Stuff happens all the time during training drills, even with innocuous physical clashes or running.

Not sure why not playing Reid is somehow equivalent to losing our entire year. Surprised half the posters here haven't torn a quadricep with all the severe knee-jerking going on.

wont be a popular opinion here, but the evidence continues to mount up. Buckley is driving these players into the ground. too many "coincidences"

Isn't this the third time recently he has had a problem with calfs?
Worrying if true calf injuries don't really go away.

His legs are made of paper and the rest of him is made of glass.

Result of Mick driving them into the ground from all those years.
Of the injury list posted by MagpieBat only 2 of the 9 players were at the club when Malthouse was still there - Reid & Paul Seedsman (2011 was only his first year). The rest are new recruits or draftees. I'll assume your post was tongue in cheek :thumbsu:

Had a calf strain late last year and I couldnt run for 8 weeks. You feel like you are right to go, jog around the house and cant feel anything. Then you hit the turf and it feels like a gold ball is in your calf.

I say ANZAC Day is a more realistic time frame for his return.

Whats hard to understand is why B Reid was put through a fitness test for round 1? If he'd done his calf, even a minor strain against the gold coast then he shouldn't be fitness tested after only 10 days rest. Calf is 4-6 week injury. Clear example of mismanagement.

Funny. I thought Davoren was a fitness guy now.

Didn't Reid nick something before the 2011 QF and came back undone and underprepared. I guess Bucks was the assistant coach then and also ran the fitness side of things.

He jogged around the boundary with White. Hardly 'clear example of mismanagement'.

I imagine it would all depend of on the grade of the strain / tear? as to the time frame for his return.
