Ken will say in his presser, "We fought it out right till the last siren. I deserve a contract extension."
Ken will go home, crack open a a Coke Zero, put his feet up, and feel satisfied after his day's work. Every business has those employees who go home completely f**king oblivious to the fact that they've been useless all day.

You can see that the players are putting in the effort but a shit coach is a shit coach
We are digging ourselves into a hole. In order to get out, our coach wants us to work harder. So, we dig harder.

In Brazil, we sack too easily too soon; but, yes, in Australian football, clubs are ridiculously patient.
No, Port Adelaide under the current administration are too patient. In 2017 we should've held our nerve and waited to see how 2018 went before extending Ken. Instead we jumped the gun and we signed him to a historically long extension in 2017. We then proceeded to fail in 2018 and 2019 and couldn't do anything. Yes we had a good 2020 and 2021, in which it was hard to justify his sacking, but this year 0-4, with a completely dysfunctional side, it is finally the time.

The biggest issue with Hinkley has always been how stale he is, how mediocrity has been our trademark, and how regular recurrent trends have been apparent and never improved. These are the reasons he has been fairly questioned, and right now it is clearly undoubtable that we need to move him on.

After 2020, we’ve extended his contract again up to 2023.

Disappointing finish.. made it look more competitive than it was and made it look like Steven motlop wasn't invisible for 99% of the game.
