Loved seeing Dunstan kick that goal at the end well done son. Huge wins across the board thought gears hickey mav(standard) and members were fantastic. On the other hand Melbourne do not like a hard ball especially when they facing the red white and black long may the mind games continue

Excellent win. We are on the right track. I'm expecting the usual suspects to change their mind again on the side and the people in charge. 8 wins with still 6 to play is surely way ahead of most predictions. And those again saying the coach got selections wrong will again go into hiding. Its time we trusted the coach even if we don't agree because there is no doubt he knows more than anyone on here. Best were Geary, Gilberts second half, Hickey who may be the second AA ruckman and Joey. A few of those would not have played if some on here picked the side. On a down note I thought Minchington was very poor and again Billings struggled. Gresham is going to be a freak. Already has nearly the best step in the AFL.
Agree on the whole, though I reckon Minch negated Jones [ without getting much of the ball himself ] and Billings had a good first half [ though missed some easy goals ].

Frustrating for much of it given the missed opportunities and unrewarding tackling. Some of the oldies led the way. Geary and Gilbo unheralded.

But happy with bits and pieces of the younger mob. Membrey incredible year. Hickey not young but terrific. Mav is becoming a very good footballer.

We are a work in progress. Still getting games into kids . Giving veterans like Roo and Joey different roles and will be strengthened when Paddy has more match fitness and Jake comes in.
We are always going fluctuate with form this year.I know everybody sees games differently and has different emotions.
But i still dont understand the mini melts when we have a flat half a qtr. And the total melts when we lose.
Think weve won 6 from the last 8.
Im more than happy with that.:)

If we kicked straighter we wouldve won by 10 goals.
We were NEVER! going to lose today.

If he can clean up his kicking he will be a star.

His clutch stats don't show up on the team sheet though, he steps up in clutch moments, needs to get more involved in games but that will come.

Let's start with the guns.

Well done to steven, joey, hickey and gears. Did your job to a very high level.

Felt that the forward line is starting to click and we look dangerous when we lower our eyes.

Gresham is a beauty and Mav weller showed great leadership.

But the big improvement was acres, sinclair and Billings.

Acres looks like a afl footballer now. Not even close to the finished product but has such a high ceiling when he puts experience and muscle into his game. Will influence big finals imo. Loved that goal assist, brutal strength.

Billings two way running was excellent. Smart footballer with good skills but it's the gut running that will take him to the next level. Vfl time has done him good.

Sinclair is finally looking like a midfielder. Looks to have the scope now to turn the 14 touches into a 25 touch game in the near future.

Finally, 8 wins!!! We are getting there.

Agree with comment on Acres. Is really starting to show that he can play at this level and has huge upside. I'm excited!

You forgot geary

He really opens up the game.
His kicking will improve. Still 18.
Really excited by Gres.

Billings wouldve looked so much better if he snagged the goals.
And he tired a bit in the last. But early in the match he got good quality possessions that set up links in play.
Gonna be a seriously classy player when that tank gets bigger.
Yeah I didn't mind his game at all. Certainly tired like you said late in the game but some of his work in close with his hands was absolutely first class. Got me really excited for his midfield transition.

Was the 1st quarter really that bad? If we'd kicked those early sitters & more accurately for the quarter, we'd have been on par with them - they had 2 more scoring shots 3.3 to 6.2

I thought our set up was good, we just didn't finish & we certainly had more energy in the 1st than in previous weeks.

At least it was an improvement

Gresham 18 disp at 73% 9 contested 6 score involvements.
Its obvious why he is playing and lonie isnt. Want to condense it look at the play where the high ball got kicked to gresh deep inside 50 where he had to punch above his weight. Gresh was able to compete, force the ground ball and dish it off for a goal

If that was lonie the ball would have been exiting our 50

Gresh is coming along nicely. Still has some moments by foot but its offset by everything else he does

I cant see lonie coming back in whilst gresh is playing that role
