I'm still not sold on Mini just yet. Sure the win/loss colum looks alot better but in reality we've beaten no one of note since he took over and looked bog average against 18th and by some miracle fell over the line against 16th. Saints are 6th but playig like a bottom 6 side and we beat GWS before they started humming. The real test is yet to come - Dees, Dogs and Saints at Marvel and then Port. If we can win 3 of them and make finals it's going to be hard not to give Mini the top job.

Mini will be stiff if he doesn't land the job and it will be a shame to lose him if we go with someone else but I still reckon we need a gun tactician more than a manager type.

Yeah I agree 100%. With the greatest respect to Mini, who we appoint has more to do with how we build toward our next premiership team around the current nucleus of 26yo and under players (and future trades / draftees) than it does about wins and losses in the current season. Mini has made some astute tactical moves though in recent games as well as been a steady hand at the wheel. The next 2 matches will be crucial to his case for the main job.

Rubbish as Dimma was still contracted to 2024 and could’ve easily had that extended. There was never any mention of minibus coaching RFC until he took over as caretaker. Most fans didn’t even know he existed and I’m serious.

That was after the event. Nothing was ever mentioned of Minibus being the successor until KDH got the boot ( oops sorry resigned bc he couldn’t cook a snag 1001 times). Everything after minibus took over has to be taken with a grain of salt as it’s all nice boy , ball cupping and meow meow shit. It’s what was said beforehand I’m looking for and nobody has provided me with it. Any moron can say stuff after the event has unfolded. You should know that by now as it happens often on here.

Have to agree TI. I must admit until he took over as interim coach, I’d never heard of him. I certainly knew Leppa, McRae and Caracella.

He may well turn out to be excellent if he gets the job, I’m just a bit worried it’s going to be same old, same old. And I think we need change.

We will see in the few weeks ahead, but I’m not confident with what we’ve dished up over the last three weeks. I don’t care if he loses games, but I want to see him with new visions and ideas. ATM I’m with you it’s the same old , same old.
