He is a smaller version of his older brother

The guy has leadership all over him was captain through under 18s and in state squads

Played with him in under 14s coach quality back then a leader of men
Was also the quintessential role player during his AFL career. I have a good mate who played with the Saints during this period and they loved playing with him due to the team first mantra he played with. I can see why Dimma held him in high regard

I'm looking forward to what Mini can do for the rest of the season. Hopefully some new ideas. Still need a better run with injuries. Would like to see a full review of the fitness department.

Will be interesting what changes, if any, Mini makes to the playing squad and the game plan.

Hearing he may be coaching from the bench as well.

There is a word that some of those inside the club feel he could be the right man to take over.

Will be very interesting and I hope he does well.

Wouldn't be a terrible choice, not sure how much of the camp stuff was on him, but he had the crows playing pretty awesome footy in 2017.
Teague was in charge of ball movement, we already have him

He is just totally wrong for Richmond based on all that Collective Minds bullshit. How he let those imbeciles hi-jack his football team I have no idea, but it should be enough to rule him out of contention for our job.

I think Leppitch is current the favourite at a few totes.

In terms of Pike, he wouldn’t be my choice personally. Not so much the Collective Minds itself, but the broader “be manlier, be tougher, be scarier” sort of mantra (Collective Minds was kind of this, but the ludicrous power range stance stuff as well) is well against our set culture.

That said, like Leppa, I’ve no issues with giving someone another chance if they’ve proven that they’ve learnt and improved from their past failures.

Does it need to be someone from the AFL system? Do they need to have an AFL background? Does it need to be a white male in his mid to late 40’s?

Could this club be progressive enough to think outside the box and find a figurehead rather than the same old ideas and strategies…? Does the selection process of coaching an AFL club need to be so narrow minded and parochial in its approach to finding the best sporting mind in the country.

Is an AFL coach much more than just a manager of people and developer of culture and relationships? Crossing codes or sports isn’t new.

The biggest sporting club in Australia, with the most savage fanbase is going to chew up and spit out mediocre newbie who hasn’t got any shields. As good as Hardwick has been he has had probably three of the best shields in the game. Peggy O’Neil , Bredan Gale and Neil Balme…

I would love to see this club think laterally and not just down the same old lines and paths that percentages that brings the same results.

Change the game again…
We're goin with Harley Quinn?? Beaudy.

Balmey said today he won’t be tinkering with the game plan too much .

Time for a revolution at the club. Sack Gale, sack the board, leave the AFL. Give the "tiger" name to Tazzy.

I want an anarcho syndichalist collective everyone at the club takes turn to act as senior coach of the week. Where Thursday selection decisions have to be ratified by a special by weekly meeting by a simple majority. But for club related, big decisions a 2/3 majority.
Shite tora tora tora. Take yer pills!

He was Vic Country captain at U/16 level - I can't recall him being U/18 captain but a few sources said he was.

Came through at a similar time to Brendan Goddard (both from Traralgon and both went to Caufield Grammer) but was miles off his ability. I was surprised when he was drafted early but that was a particularly weak draft year after the top 5. We took Pattison ahead of him
