The weird thing about winning the Grand Final is days like today (the day after) are weird... like you want the feeling to keep going but its already fading.

The best part is the few hours after the game.

Its the best thing in the world and you just want that little feeling every year.

I've noticed that that's exactly why eagles fans have been so supportive of tigers fans winning the comp yesterday with congratulatory comments etc. It's because we are still on a high from last year. Hopefully this new found VIC/WA love extends itself to next year when the eagles pull off another beauty of a win in the gf

Speak for yourself brother!!! Replay on repeat!!!

I'm almost done with afl. It's clear home ground advantage is a huge advantage on grand final day. Look at the last 10 years only the strongest teams win. Until either the highest ranked team or random team hostes the gf I'm done

Lucky we were the highest ranked team then

Looking at the laddder, only the Lions and Eagles are an immediat threat to Richmond, and the Blues are the only big threat coming in a few years. The rest are just meh.

The blues are just Collingwood with a shitter midfield

For all those in denial / haters that still persist, Richmond beat ALL of the other 5 teams making up the top 6 in the 11 last rounds of football (including finals). We beat Giants and Lions twice; Pies, Eagles and Cats once. Counting for round 17, we are 10-0 and 7-0 against finalists that progressed beyond week 1.

But yeah [insert Pies/Eagles] would have beaten us on the day, we had an easy run and didn’t deserve to win... keep telling yourselves that while we enjoy the off season

Have to agree with this, Richmond won the flag because they’re the best team in the league, that’s pretty much it all comes down to unfortunately. It’s up to the other clubs to come up to their level, which will hopefully be soon!

Luv we’ve had this out before, it’s easy to show your skills under old fashioned pressure.
No disrespect the teams you mentioned because they obviously had some great stars.
but those teams you mentioned playing at their best would get creamed today against Richmond at their best. Stop living in the past.

That is hugely hypothetical. But clearly you have conceded the overall point re skill.

Even in the VFL, Willie tried to beat your VFL team with skill and ball movement and got overpowered. Skill is not the key to the Tigers dynasty.

Collingwood and the Doggies would have pushed the Tiger's to the very limit and could have won it if they were in their best form. The granny is just as much about everything going right as it is who is the best team.

Umpires had no impact in 2016 either.... #Tainted

GWS needed a lot to go right today against the inform team of comp at their home ground. The umps heavily influenced the momentum in tje first half when the game was up for grabs. Richmond deserve the win of course. But everyone was deprived of the closer contest that could have been.
Like Reiwoldt’s mark in the first minute that wasn’t paid, or the free kick against Lynch for spoiling the ball. Get off the crack mate.

Luv, I’m not conceded anything, you have to work harder than that 😁. it’s just that you’re missing the skill point, watch the GF and see the pressure we put on GWS, nearly every possession they had was rushed. When a players mind is at a heightened level of danger and becomes accustomed to it then when they do get time their mind is already rushing. Very few players can slow down and seem to have time when others do not.
There has been studies on this. Anyway, l do agree that it takes more than skill to win a game, my point being that skill can be perceived differently, how do you define skill?
