I wonder if it had of been Tomlinson with the calf if he had of been given a spot?
I like Phil Davis and I don’t think he was the difference between the teams but he was a meter behind Reiwoldt all game.
No way he was good enough to play and the emergency kept Miochek to 1 poss last week.

Davis was cooked before he even ran out. When GWS came out for the first warm up, he was last to come out, was in pants (all others were in shorts), and could barely move, did nothing harder than a jog and was first to leave the ground 5 minutes later.

Heaps of guys have gotten away with not being 100% and lauded as hero’s when they are on the winning side.

Fraser Brown, Anthony Stevens, half of Brisbane’s 2003 team, Stevie j, Dale Morris and probably Dusty and other Richmond players you don’t know about yet.

It’s a roll of the dice, I think they were shot regardless TBH

It still hasn't hit me, the Giants completely failed. All week we heard they were ready, talented, tough, committed, etc. It was all talk and meant nothing, this was their lowest score ever, lower even than their formative years where they had a bunch of kids that got smashed by 100+

It will hit them hard and it's going to take them some time to recover.

I’d like to know what Cameron said to the players after the game. Are there always cameras in the rooms? What can you say after a loss like that? Losing by 89 points in the grand final, and on top of that, kicking your lowest ever score. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went off the rails a bit next year. Where did Port finish in 08?

Has played a huge part in building up the GWS culture and relative success until this week.

Very selfish.
Outcome was determined as soon as this bloke put his hand up to play.
as much as he shouldn't have played, he wasn't the reason they lost.

I'd be looking at guys like kelly, whitfield, hopper, williams and finlayson who have all had great seasons and who were all incredibly subpar.

Fair call some of them were getting a bit ahead of themselves but lots of them on here have copped it sweet. My point was for a new team they have a great record now and probably raise the level of the comp. Look at the NRL with the gold coast titans. What a complete waste of time they are. Sometimes adding new teams doesn't work but GWS are a success story imo
Definitely but just becuase they are new doesn’t mean I’ll be easy on them after my team flogged them

I am so hung over but bare with me. First GWS commiserations guy, you will be better next year, so hang tough.

BF community never fail to deliver, was even more special reading mods comments crying about umpiring etc, thank you for the laughs.

To the bitter supporters from other clubs, crying and moaning, trying to make themselves believe we have just been lucky these past three years, thank you. Your minnow nature never fails in bringing a smile to my face.

To my club, I am 47 years old, I have seen some mighty low's but never lost faith. To be able to see my club, win a flag, then back it up with a minor premiership, then go on and win the flag the following year, I just cant express how proud I am. I was at he game yesterday with my kids and even they dont understand how lucky in there short lives to see the club they now love win flags, its so bloody rare.

So excited about next year. We get a fully fit Rance to play along side a back line who have grown so much this year. We also get a pre season into Lynch and Pickett, we also should get a band one compo for Brandon Ellis.......good times haha

As a 47yo you would have seen some awful awful periods so well done and enjoy the good times.

Port 2008 13th (7-15)

They havent been the same since.

They had a little burst of good form in 2013-15 with Ken coming in but yeah 07 scarred them I reckon.

If anything yesterday felt worse.
