You gave up 29 and a future 3rd for Fantasia. So Rioli should be at least that. This is a classic bigfooty trade where both clubs have opposition ends of expectations
Can i ask, what trades from the last few years do Eagles fans look at and go, yep thats similar to what we should get for Jnr?

My feel on the matter is that we've supported him personally from day dot. I recall Simpson traveling up to meet his family after we won the grand final. Guessing he didn't do this for any other players. Then shit hit the fan with his own stupidity, paid him during that period, provided legal counsel for both his indiscretions. There is probably a bucket load more support we gave him that we're unaware of. To then just leave for more cash elsewhere is a disgrace in my view. Personally if it were me I'd really really want to repay the club that gave me a chance, supported me throughout. But maybe that's just me.Other than the obvious disappointment in him not paying back the club that supported him, how is what he is doing that bad? Not disputing you, genuinely curious. He has nominated a club because they have offered him a deal - isn’t that what every trade basically involves these days? He blindsighted the club which I guess is a dog act but what should he have done differently? Other than not leave obviously.

Furthermore, if port offer next years first (thinking they could make top 4) id take that certain top 10 pickI think a pick in the late teens / early 20's will get the job done.
That isnt an answer to the question i asked at all?Martin and Stevens is the new Gunston and Bock kids.
K.Amon compensation pick.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Jokes aside, Port traded pick 29 and a future 3rd for Fantasia in 2020
That’s a fair comparison imo
And I think most posters here would be happy with the expected Amon compo - 2nd round pick so 27 - without the need for a future 3rd
Probably shouldn't offer a player like that a 4 year contract with no conditions attached then should you?Fantasia is overs (to me - well duh) on the fact that he was contracted and a fair few years younger.
Allir Allir for a future 2nd is the closest i think. But even then AA wasnt one slip up from never playing again.
Over at Alberton we are all hoping Amon compo lands at end of 1st round/start of 2nd so close to that pick 20.

Ive seen everythinf from Georgiades straight swap to future 4th lelA future 2nd rounder is at the opposite end of expectations?
Given you’re probably a reasonable bet at a 5-10 finish next season, your future 2nd sits roughly 27 - 32.
Throw in the customary F/S, Academy and compo picks and it’s probably 30-35 most years.
That’s a fair and reasonable deal surely?
…or if your Amon compo is end of 2nd round, that will be nearly pick 40?
What is the opposite end that you are currently at?
50? 60?
Not my choice thats for sure!Probably shouldn't offer a player like that a 4 year contract with no conditions attached then should you?
If you get what you want then you can upgrade our pick 38 to the Amon comp pick.Fantasia is overs (to me - well duh) on the fact that he was contracted and a fair few years younger.

If your club doesn’t think he is good then why are they offering him 4 years at $500k per year?Fantasia is overs (to me - well duh) on the fact that he was contracted and a fair few years younger.
