Levi and Harry are the ones we need in. Newnes in as well. He’s more useful as some make out to be. We can cover for the loss of Jack Martin I think, if some of our bottom six step up their game. We’ve gotta play the long game and rest him a week if he ain’t right.

LOB in

it's all happening

I've got this uncomfortable feeling that we're going to roll the dice on too many players that aren't 100% fit tomorrow night. Can see at least one coming off early (and not returning) with an injury recurrence. Should we start a poll for who's the most likely? :p

Looks like I’ll have to dust off the old boots then ‘ey............

If Martin is out and Newnes and LOB in, I expect we'll see Setterfield play more inside this game.

Betts or Gibbons more likely to be named as well.

If they need such a comment to get them going, we have some even bigger issues.
Everyone is different. Some things work for some and not others.

Look at natanui in the latest documentary against Adelaide after the Adelaide rrukman posted natanui is unfit and lazy etc. Natanui used it as a bit of motivation for that game.

There's no issues if someone uses it as motivation for this game.

Sad but last two Richmond Carlton openers have had a player go down and never play again :O OMac 23rd man possibly, could see him getting a run by the end of the night going off our luck with regards to big boiz and injuries.

I'm 2 pages behind, so it might have been said already, but I think it could be a bit naïve to think that a coach won't be able to get their way if they desperately want to get their spare on the ground for some reason. As usual, the AFL leaves a nice grey area open for exploitation.

If they were serious about preventing exploitation, there would be an independent medical assessment as the final arbiter, no-one connected to the club - apart from the player - should be involved in the decision.
That brings into question the integrity of the doctor, something that I don't believe would happen in this era of significant accountability. Doc Reid exempted himself from anything to do with the drug program so he could never be questioned about "Do no harm." Should have been a whistleblower? Maybe but that's a different issue.
