Need Harry Taylor back for even one week in Strength and Conditioning so no more injuries in Freo game. Has his role in 2022 GF been under rated.
What a shite year of non stop injuries.

Could be worse.
In 1983 we fielded 49 players, and only 3 of them played every game.

We're down 1400 games of experience, not much talk of it.

I get they're talking about the Eagles because they have seriously been hit by the injury bus, but it's not like we're far behind.

But not, all the talk is about "Tiges are back!" and nonsenical narratives the media will drop when the opposite unfolds over the next few weeks.

Anyway, media BS aside, it's bad place to be. We can try and look at the silver lining and say players back will be fresh, but if we keep getting 1-2 (or more) injuries each week, it's going to be hard to have a settled team going into September.

Re Jack Henry -where would you play him

Well i would put him in the forward line where there isnt as much pressure on him - and he can surprise

Where as if you put him into the back line - it is a big ask for him - missed all those games - and then straight into it and under pressure

With no Rohan or O Henry - id play him as the 3rd tall forward - and he has done well in the forward line before - and he could be a surprise packet against Frem

We also finished ninth (in a 12 team comp) with a percentage of around 88%.

Hopefully the club's aiming for higher than that this year!

(Though the endless stream of outs is making that hard.)

He will definitely be used forward at times. I would deploy him as the classic swingman who starts in defence and then gets swung forward. In my view taking Tuohy out of defence to be a wingman, with Henry in defence - sharpens up that area of the ground and releases Stewart. Henry is pretty agile and doesn't let opponents off the chain. I know the risk is him not being match fit but it's a roll of the dice we need to take. If he doesn't cope first quarter then send him forward.

Happy to see Jack Henry and Tyson Stengle back. The rest, not so much.

Jack Henry - was not guaranteed to play so it’s good news.

Ignore the misdirected anger. They wanted a surprise like Dangerfield, De Koning or Guthrie back in ahead of time. There are other scenarios in which we don't see Henry until after the bye - so seeing his name on the team sheet, surprise or not - was good news. Same for Stengle.

circumstantial and largely unlucky

Who is going to look after Jordan Clark?

Emerg players are Willis, Whyte, Mullin & Dempsey.

Dempsey looks like the obvious sub option but I'd cop Willis getting a run this week as sub.

I'm not familiar with VFL form this year, for several reasons.
But I'd like an Irishman in for consolation, so fair craic to him.
Are they any chop?
