Anyway, over on the North board they are all a bit quiet with a few posters hoping the team is crook. I just hope the team have adjusted some of the defensive structures to prevent those easy rebound goals that almost cost them the game last week and also against Freo.

Didn't Thommo and Danger have it earlier in the week, with Sloane, VB and Dogga in doubt for today? Or am I pulling this info from thin air? (I can't actually remember, exams have fried my brain)
Yeah I'm pretty sure that's how it's gone... don't think VB or Dogga have been affected though, Sloaney is the one to worry about. Danger and Thommo will play.

If we're missing one of our mids due to sickness it shouldn't matter. We should beat the Roos today if we want to be a genuine contender. The intensity of the Pies/Eagles game is what we're going to expect in September. If you don't beat a downtrodden Roos when you're off a 9-day break then there are issues.

if the flu virus has hit the Crows - we are cooked!

In todays game you dont need to be much off the boil to lose a game.

I just hope its only a couple of players and if they are they are, they are omitted from todays game.

It will be a fast track at the Dome, as it normally is when closed!

I expect the likes of Petrenko and Danger to have good games today.

Am a lil concerned about today's game.

Really need to hit the ground running.
Me too....I'm used to going to the Dome as underdogs, not as favourites. Danger game for us methinks - esp with the flu going through the team. One can only hope Douglas contracts it and is one of the omissions! At least it gives us a chance!

I'll be there shouting the team on though! Go Crowies!

speaking of that why was essendon wearing black shorts and freo white last night?
There's a thread on the main board asking this same question.

Apparently it's because one of Freo's team colours is already white so the AFL would prefer teams that already have white in their guernsey to wear the white shorts when there's a clash. Which explains why West Coast (blue and yellow) wore white shorts earlier yesterday against Collingwood (black and white)..... o_O

"AFL logic"

It's absolute common sense.

Fremantle colours: Purple and White
Essendon colours: Black and Red

Therefore Fremantle should wear white shorts. Akways. Home, away... doesn't matter. Every single time they play.

As JP Sauce said though the ridicuous thing was that in Collingwood v West Coast it was the Eagles who wore white shorts.

Collingwood own the AFL.

It would have been better if the Eagles had worn their usual blue shorts.

On that logic, we should see the Roos in white shorts today with the Crows in our full home kit with blue shorts.

You forgot about essendons white numbers

If we wear our away guernsey then we'll wear white shorts, as we have more white in our guernsey.
