"Mr Robinson, your slobbishness will only incriminate you further. No, Mr Robinson don't take your anger out on me, get back, get back, Mr Robinson.....noooo!"

Any word on JSOS? Hopefully he's ok.

Our injuries this year have been sad but ironically it may have lead to new roles emerging, particularly for future.

Kreuzer - Pittonet shining bright
Newman - Williamson coming into his own, and the bonus is both can play for years together in future lead by Docherty
JSOS - Unleash Cuningham? His disposal numbers have always struggled, but his cleanness, speed and skill are great.

I’ll load the video later, but the Philps fumble on the wing, Simpson effort to Walsh kick into their territory and the Philps scoop handball was why he earned another game in the 1st.
If he can get rid of the fumbles and do, we have a player!!
I think we do.
The fumbles are just first game nerves. Give him 5 more and he'll be fine.

Issue is there's no one really to drop for McKay and Fisher. Good problem to have.

Thought it amusing to see on the * board someone refer to Pittonet as a VFL plodder but then in the very next sentence refer to Phillips as one of a few great white hopes.

Not to be a knocker on Marc Murphys past performances as I am sure he has given a lot more to this club than the grief that we have given him over the years, but that was the first game that I can remember where I noticed him really will himself on the game. Especially in the last 5 minutes he imposed himself on a few contests that were really important in us getting that win. When we were behind by 2 goals in the last he was the one who hit up Martin and Casboult with forward 50 entries to kick the 2 goals to get us back to level pegging. A few great deliveries to other targets inside 50 throughout the game as I recall as well where he showed vision where at times he has been known to miss targets. Is he perhaps a player that rises when a team is performing? He's not the kind of player where he going to be able to physically carry a team like a Cripps or Danger could, but he was instrumental today. We finally have the structure in the side and game plan and I don't know whether it's just me but he seems to be a lot more influential now rather than just a solid citizen. Feels like we are going back to seeing him play prior to doing his shoulder type of Murphy where he was arguably best player in the comp (certainly top 5). Maybe the weight of responsibility off his shoulders? Whatever it is I'm thrilled to see it.

He went through a period where he was a top 10 player in the comp dude.

2010-2012 (ish) he was in his physical prime.

We love to stick the boot into you giys for not being the powerhouse club that you once were. Realistically though, we are in denial.

We are not really in a better position than you guys, should be, but we're not.

Congrats on the win, should have been over sooner and not gone down to Townsend having a late shot.

Until next time, when on paper we should win, but you guys remind us that we dont play on paper and are irrelevant in the realms of contending for a premiership.

FML!!!
On paper you’re pretenders and you play like it. We slaughtered you in general play and we will for ten years.

see you soon.

He’s the Lowest grade robbo isn’t he?

He’s a keeper, legs is in next week!

Great feeling at the end...shame we couldn't finish off more of our plays...

Has anyone heard any more about why that 50 was paid at the end? Eddie said the umps told him it was a new rule or something but he didn't know what that was...does anyone know what the new rule was? Watched it 4 times and can't see it...

Cheers.
Total corruption.

And to bring the ball to the middle of the ground...

Somebody please tell me the umpire isn't trying to generate a result!?

Umpire would be suspended in any other sport. In AFL... Thou shall not question umpire

Although SPS did a number on Tippa tonight just wondering if he’s being a bit wasted as a defensive defender (thought he was good in an unconventional role), maybe it’s part of a master plan succession role for Simmo and to develop his defensive capabilities... in the here and now without thinking to much about tomorrow there’s a spot in the wing at the moment

Great win folks. Nothing better than seeing Essendon lose by a few points.

Sidenote - I met Teague after the grand final last year. Couldn't meet a better bloke. Spoke for quite a while, was quite taken by how genuine he is.

Doesn't surprise that he appears to have total buy in from the playing group. All the best for the season.

DT is the right man to take us forward but Bolton loosened the lid for him

I think you and a few others misinterpreted my post.

In no way way was I denigrating your list. I think you probably have more upside than us. Our coach is happy we finished 8th last year ffs. If our coach thinks it, what message does that send the team? 8th is good enough cause at least we made finals ahead of the other 10 teams that would love our spot!!! FFS!!!!

The "on paper" statement is what we, as supporters, see in our team. I'm not sure it's there. In fact, I know it's not in it's current form.

Anyway, if you want to be smug, you dominated general play, but beat us by a point. Realistically you should have shut the game down earlier. Enjoy the win though, thats what its all about, winners are grinners and you deserved it.

The realist in me, knows and has known for some time that we are pretenders, not anywhere near contenders. We won't be for some time, neither team will be, but you will get there before us IMO because we settle for mediocrity.

Good luck to both teams in the future. I would love to see a competitive rivalry with both team being real contenders than just being also rans. I genuinely miss the rivalry between us when it actually meant something.

1993 was great but 1999, I've wiped that football year from my mind. ****ing Dean Wallis 🤬 That's how footy goes though, and yeah, see you soon.

You'll be alright once Donut Dodoro isn't "managing" your list anymore

I think the brains trust at Carlton have done a exceptional job is getting the Pitt. Nothing against Kruezer, but he is on the down slope of his career.
Good job brain people, good job.

Even if we agree that MK is the better ruckman (not sure thats true TBH) MK's lack of continuity hampers our midfield development. MP looks bullet proof to me and that gives me great confidence for our young midfielder group in 2020

I think he injured his shoulder after a tackle by an essendon player. Set him back a lot of years. His tackling skills as we have seen, not as strong as it was. What happened to jsos will I think be investigated. Out of the game, not long after the start. The commentators suggesting he was winded! It obviously was a heavy blow. Hope he is ok. I'm so glad we beat them tonight
