I hope we smash those filthy drug cheats , cant stand em.

Another loss for them would see them at 2-6 and pretty much will be the end of their season, cant see them making finals. Given all the hype prior to the start of the season not playing finals will be an absolute disaster for them.
REading their board half of them want us to win as well so they have a clean out.

For me, I actually think they'll win.

Just learnt something from Spud Frawley (I shit you not)

Goddard had 27 possessions yesterday................25 uncontested.

Old Mr Pointy Fingers needs to look in the mirror.

To be fair though, that would be his role to distribute ball as he a much better kick than most of them so he going to be given ball a lot in uncontested manner just like we do with Simmo often.

But yeah, when he gets all pointy fingered and animated he kind of losing his shit and probably telling other players to get in position for their own zone defence. Clearly they must be getting frustrated they not getting it right enough. He is such a nutter he probably does look in mirror and yell at himself some times. He just looks that type of personality.

Would not surprise me if we play them into form. They have been very ordinary for the last month and will probably come out and play like men possessed against us.

Joe Daniher who has been spudly all year will probably miraculously find form and kick 6 goals against us :mad:

True dat.

Just think we're not all that fussed about winning and I think the Hawks wouyld probably have beaten us by a similar or greater margin yesterday.

Now that the wash-up has well and truly rolled through...

OUT: Plowman (inj), Rowe, Graham, Phillips, Casboult (inj), O'Shea
IN: Marchbank, Weitering, Murphy, Lang, C.Curnow, SOS/Polson

The last spot there comes down to how they'd intend to use SOS. Jack's intensity in this match will lift the team, and even though that third forward spot is there for the taking, I'd like to see him in the midfield. Mullett survives by a whisker.

His recovery after a contest is exceptional, whether that be in the ruck, a pack marking situation or after a tackle. Doesn't spectate.
Don't want to single you out here as others are backing the idea, but TDK isn't ready. His appetite is fantastic and his overall skill set exciting, but he doesn't hold his ground in ruck contests at VFL level, so if you're bringing him in, it's as a third forward.

Not sure he's consistent enough at that for AFL level at all.

I agree that he isn't ready to make an impact at AFL level. His kicking needs tinkering and he is still extremely raw physically.

Those changes would be splendid. I'd bring in Polson and get him to do exactly what he did in the VFL in the forward 50.

I never tip against Essendon, but I’ve already pencilled you in for a win, with the media describing it as “One of the most inspirational victories in Carlton’s history”

For all those thinking Lang isn’t AFL fit yet, the very reason he plays 2’s is to get match fit and he’s had 2 games already.

If the last 2 games have bought him on to the extent he’s reasonably AFL fit next week, sure as hell he should be running around in the 1’s and not the NB’s.

And..an 80-90% match fit Lang, if managed probably (say playing more as a small forward than a mid) will still give us more than the alternatives. Really hope he plays.

Would love a win, but got to be honest, I got no confidence until game day whom is available given our injury run and even false dawns of guys coming back , only to find they still out again. If we had Murphy, Curnow, Williamson, Cuningham, Pickett and Bryne would back us in but we probably only get Curnow back and even Lang needs more game time in VFL I would think before coming back.
Casboult out for Curnow the only certain change for now I would think. They may give Weiters another week in VFL but probably should be back but not sure how we can keep such a tall backline still. Fantasia, Devon Smith, Tippa and others should relish running around such tall backs.
