Robbo says Lloyd showed great leadership yesterday

Channel 9 and inparticular, Crawford haven't done my argument any favours. Last year it would have been Crawford and not Bateman that clocked Lloyd after the incident. Today he is going in to bat for Lloyd and basically calling his old mate Brown a liar. This is typical of what the media does to people. It's sad really.

maybe some can put bias aside when trying to tackle an argument

When Lloyd was interviewed on the ground after the game he looked and acted like a bloke who knew he'd committed a dog act. In fact most of the second half he ran around with a sheepish look on his face.
Ludicrous interpretation.. he looked like a guy that knew he wouldn't be playing finals this year.. that's what his demeanor betrayed

Don't forget that Robbo is a Bombers supporter. I am sure he was incredibly proud of the captains four kicks while being thrashed by an 18 year old.

Still better than C.Browns' (and guess what the C stands for), 3 touches and gay slap.

Got one for Campbell Brown too? What about Bateman?

Its interesting, if you read the sport in the age today you will see campbell saying that he didnt think the franklin bump was any different, he also proceeded to call lloyd a sniper and that his was coming. Does that just not fit? According to brown's reasoning, buddy is also a sniper?? So if he feels so strongly about the issue maybe he should have said to franklin, 'hey mate, dog act'??? Its either that or he is letting his dislike of matthew lloyd get in the way of his judgement. Campbell Brown: have a cup of tea and a lie down

The only thing i'm disappointed in, is when browne confronted him at 3/4 time, matty should have grabbed the little irrelevant **** & shook the shit out him, could have totally rag dolled him & put him back in his place.

But he didn't did he, a fitting end to an irrelevent career.

When there is a tough game which Lloyd naturally can't impact, he usually comes in and snipes someone who has their eyes on the ball. It's a fact that the gravy train media are too gutless to point out.
yeah, thank the lord for impartial observers like throbbie walls and quarterbrain who speak only the truth and don't have an agenda at all.

haha that's hilarious.
why didn't big bad campbell use that opportunity at 3/4 time to carry out his 'threat' that he later made from the safety of his changeroom after the game?
at the very least he could have slapped (lol) him like he did to monfries?

why?
because he's a scared little bitch full of hot air, and has been exposed in front of the afl world as a fraud and a blowhard.

haha ok 1. lloyd wont retire this year
and 2. irrelevant career?

haha ok so kicking nearly 1000 goals,, playing in a premiership, multiple coleman medallist, captain and legend of a football club is an irrelevant career? lloyds career definately had 0 impact for the essendon football club

your a fool, almost as much as brown

Don't forget Franklin.

Amazing how the hawker supporters have selective rulings. They subscribe to "one law for us and another set of rules for everyone else". Nice.

Mmm and so do most Essendon and Carlton Supporters, who wanted Franklin Suspended, but want Lloyd to get off... YUP DOUBLE STANDARDS FROM ALL FANS!

Forgetting the BIG difference... Sewell's head was over the ball, he was bent over as Lloyd charged in and VERY lucky he started to stand up as Lloyd hit him - or he MAY have had a spinal injury.

What LLOYD DID has ALWAYS been frowned upon. What Franklin did, used to be perfectly fine.

People obviously not considering that. Comparing the two hits are like comparing apples and oranges. Not at all the same.

Lloyd has been a champion player. Has great hands and a super kick at goal. His problem is that as he got more experience he has tried to compensate for his lack of physicality by hitting blokes that have their eyes on the ball. The media are too spineless to say it. Maybe he can get the fibreglass cast out next year and go around clocking blokes like a few years ago.

To think of all the bullsh*t that McGuire copped about Collingwood bias. Robbo and Essendon, Quartermaine and Hawthorn...... is just pathetic.

Exactly. Eddie was probably least biased out of all of them. Seemed to go out of his way to be unbiased at times.

Wallsy is probably the worst, not for his bias towards Carlton, but for his anti Essendon views.
