Reportedly GWS contract offer wasn't what Lobb thought he was worth

Yeah, Lobb is rubbish so GWS are keen on him knowing he has a two year contract at 700k. Cogs is on one of the worst contracts in the AFL, we just got paid pick 19 to take a bad contract that has 1 year on it. Lobb is a good AFL player, not a star, not rubbish, there is middle ground
Freo split 8 with Richmond for 15 and 26.
Freo offer Lobb and 15 for Coniglio.
2022 Freos midfield of Brayshaw, Coniglio, Fyfe, Mundy, Serong, Young.
You don't pay pick 13 for a middle ground player turning 29Yeah, Lobb is rubbish so GWS are keen on him knowing he has a two year contract at 700k. And you dont trade one of three KPFs on your list with two years on his contract for anything other than overs. You don't pay pick 13 for a middle ground player turning 29
You may for a middle ground player who's 27 though...You don't pay pick 13 for a middle ground player turning 29
It depends how much cap you pay, if your only letting him go for a good pick than your paying ~half of his contractAnd you dont trade one of three KPFs on your list with two years on his contract for anything other than overs.
I'm not saying 13 straight up but GWS will be happy to push that pick up or out because it's in danger of being eaten by Fahey, they value picks differently then other clubs.
If Lobb goes back to GWS we will get a deal that everyone on BF will come on here screaming about
Who?You may for a middle ground player who's 27 though...
Breaking news:Jesus, we had the 'go home' factor, now poor Freo have invented the 'just go' factor.
Why would he leave if Freo want him?
I'm assuming you didn't mean middle ground as plays in the middle of the ground.Who?
If his partner is living in Victoria, any club on the east coast would be preferable to a WA club imo.Isn't Lobbs partner now working for the VRC in Victoria?
But he likes the look of going to Sydney?
He either lives a double life or I'm missing something
But wouldn't a Vic club be preferable? If his partner is living in Victoria, any club on the east coast would be preferable to a WA club imo.
Probably isn’t one interested at the deal required. But wouldn't a Vic club be preferable?
Yes but what if there are no Victorian clubs keen? You'd probably take the next closest option. But wouldn't a Vic club be preferable?
Why? He’s not a particularly good ruck and he doesn’t want to play ruck anyway.WBD making a mistake for not going for Lobb and get Freo to pay a large % of his salary.
WBD should trade a future 1st for Lobb + get Freo to pay 350k - 500k of his salary + points for Darcy.
Would be no point taking Lobb whilst English is still on the list imo. Why? He’s not a particularly good ruck and he doesn’t want to play ruck anyway.
Yep, they may as well start with pick 2, We will take all the salary dumps.Coniglio 2 years into a 7 year, $7M contract...
I wonder if that's front or back ended? If it's backended, Freo would want something coming back their way as icing in a Lobb for Coniglio trade!!
Either way, not many of these monster contracts work out for the club... teams should seriously stop doing it.
There should be a cap on contract lengths of 5 years for starters.
He's not an A grade ruck, but he's definitely above average in the league as a solo ruck. Why? He’s not a particularly good ruck and he doesn’t want to play ruck anyway.
If Lobb goes our key forwards are:
1 Matt Taberner: Currently occupies two spots on youtube's "worse misses in AFL history" video
2 Josh Treacy: A 193cm, 19 year old rookie pick.
Yes and don’t bid on Darcy thank you please.Yep, they may as well start with pick 2, We will take all the salary dumps.
I’d much prefer Ladhams. He's not an A grade ruck, but he's definitely above average in the league as a solo ruck.
Reckon he is a meaningful upgrade over the likes of Ceglar, Ladhams, Lynch, whoever else is available. Probably the best available at the moment.
Who cares about what he wants to anyways lol, this is his job, I don't tell my boss the only areas I'm happy to work in.
