And as his manager said, they said they would get him a deal this trade period and he put in a good season for them
But the Dockers need him to kick goals as Tabener struggles to get on the field and Treacy is years off
Like Freos list manager said 207cm Forwards who kick 2 goals a game and go into the ruck don't grow on trees. He will have no issues finding another contract
Freo's position is he's contracted (with a front ended deal) so he cost us not that much this year.
Forwards don't grow on trees and Freo have struggled to get decent forwards. If the deal gets done, WB will pay more than they are happy with.
Is he going to play well or not? If he is, then I don't think we have a problem knowing the sooking only lasts a season.
If he isn't, his own value tanks.
If we hold him, I think his form is fine but he resents us forever after next season. I think we can all live with that.
Doubt his value tanks if he is upset by having to play on the other side of the country.

Except that Lobb refuses to play in the ruck and only averages 1.79 goals a game this year & 1.54 in 2021, which is the same as Cam Zurhaar and less than Levi Casboult.
Lobb Average 7 hit outs a game in 2022 and 4 in 2021.
Tom Campbell is still on a list Rory will have no problems finding another contract is the point
Feels like pick 15 with a future second going back is about right to me.

In at least two games this year that I can remember Logue rucked because Lobb's shoulder was busted. May be more but I can't remember and don't care enough to look it up.

Sounds to me like a lot of Doggies supporters don't want Lobb here. Fair enough but you should be challenging for a Premiership right now and a draftee instead of Lobb isn't going to make that better. Same for Fremantle, we should be challenging now and a Pick 29 isn't gonna help us in the slightest
How have you still not grasped the idea between wanting a player and not wanting to vastly over pay for a player. Carlton fans are over the moon with Acres for their 3rd rounder they'd be tearing down the walls if they paid pick 10. We want Lobb for 29 which is overs for us but we are content with that however none of us want him for anything over that as he is not worth it

You're acting as if Lobb is one of the best Key Forwards in the comp here. He's not he's middle of the run 30 and out of contract next year. His ruckwork is competent but not outstanding. Again Lobbs career production is fairly average you can try and spin it as much as you like but it is what it is. If you want another Rory draft another tall beanpole with 29 who prefers to play forward

Think both supporters are right, Lobb fairish trade is 29 with an upgrade somewhere as well IMO (his type are the hardest to find). Shit list management, shit forwardline, whatever, his value to us, even for a year is a lot higher especially when you consider we aren’t going to have a future 1st so every position we finish that is lower just hurts more and more.
I don’t buy into the “he asked for a trade last year” as well rubbish, that was just Colon inventing some crap so they had more leverage this year because he was never getting to GWS and last time I checked, that’s not in VIC.
Dogs fans reasonable to not want their club to pay a lot more than Lobb is worth to them and Freo fans reasonable to not want to let a contracted KPF for anything less than extortion

Acres and Logue both fulfilled their contracts, if a second rounder is only on offer for Lobb why would Freo trade him? They don't magically have to accept unders because Lobb's manager has orchestrated this whole thing. The seller determines the value, not the buyer.
Again this is where the issue is for most 29 is overs for Lobb but given how poor you list has been built for you guys its unders. Again you can hold him all you like but again it isn't a case of us not wanting him it's us not wanting to ridiculously over pay for what Lobb is/has produced
Im more than happy to keep him if its not overs. Doggies like us should be challenging now and losing Dunkley makes them worse and pulling in Lobb would make them definitely a better team. Rotating English and Lobb through Ruck Forward would be great for them.
