Considering the Saints have 14 players on their i jury list right now with some decentnames amongst them, I'd say any Harley Reid talk is premature.

Guys I’ve worked out what’s possibly been up with Culley. We’ve noticed he’s gone from the club unabashedly gushing over him for most of the preseason down to crickets chirping in the last few weeks. He’s lost his right arm. FWIW I still think he plays and tears it up in all categories besides maybe handballs

Really frustrating injury news on Yeo, not least because it’s a sour note on what had been a quite promising preseason for Yeo individually and the club collectively. You only have to compare the current injury list to the list this time last year for evidence of that

It sets off our collective PTSD as supporters because it’s a recurrence of a soft tissue injury to an older player with a history of them and the timing of the announcement (the day after the release of the official list) has a distinct Groundhog Day feel

Two things
1) Yeo has been operating at a full training load for several weeks so this isn’t a strain resulting from a shift to increased training intensity. So hopefully it is just a minor strain and he can get back to training quickly and unlike last year he has a solid fitness base to build from
2) Yes it’s frustrating that it wasn’t included on the injury list but since he only raised a concern during training yesterday and was then sent for scans it’s feasible that the extent of the problem wasn’t known at the time. Or even if there was one. Further, the club released the information today whereas last year we likely wouldn’t have known until the team was named. Baby steps

Time will tell if this is an unfortunately timed one off or part of a recurring pattern that we’re all sick of. Hoping for the former, praying it isn’t the latter

type mid. Doesn’t get you 30’s each week but gets 20 tocuhes but majority contested and is a stoppage king. Obviously I want him to be much better type mid but that Greenwood type mid would totally complement a midfield of Ginbey/Chesser/Hewett/hough/reid

Now that Yeo is out we should play it safe and start with Gaff as an inside mid, and focus on kicking the ball sideways and backwards as a team rule.

This news mostly sucks but the silver lining is with Nic and Yeo out, it creates opportunities for guys like Jamieson and Culley (perhaps) this week. It sounds a bit perverse but from a macro point of view there’s positives either way.

I'm taking the kids along Saturday, was pumped when I saw Long, Ginbey and Chesser named. I was reasonably confident of a win until the Yeo injury, game on now.
Damn, was so keen to see him back too.

I remember a few years back watching Rd 1 at Marvel vs Nth and Yeo tore it apart.
