Who lines up round 1 opposing wing to Sidebottom? WHE or Phillips

Elliott and Degoey gone from half forward line maybe WHE used better there with a Varcoe/Crips on the other flank ?

I would think it'll be between Phillips, Crisp and Varcoe, with WHE more likely to line up on a HFF.....but at the same time wouldn't be surprised if WHE lines up on a wing!!

Against Fremantle it was Phillips and WHE (However from memory Sidebottom didnt come on till the 2nd quarter)

Against Richmond it was also Phillips and WHE (However Pendebury didnt play and Sidebottom played onball)

B: Maynard - Dunn - Ramsay
HB: Howe - Reid - Schade
C: Phillips - Treloar - Sidebottom
R: Grundy - Pendlebury - Adams
HF: WHE - Moore - Smith
F: Fasolo - Cox - Mayne

Int: Varcoe , Crisp , White , Aish , Blair (1 to be cut :/)

In: Schade (197), Goldsack (193), Broomhead (185), Smith (180), Blair (174)
Out: Cox (211), DeGoey (191), Wells (181), Dunn (192) Elliot (178)

Heights displayed in cm

B: Ramsay (183) Schade (197) Goldsack (193)
HB: Maynard (189) Reid (196) Howe (190)
C: Phillips (187) Aish (183) WHE (186)
HF: Varcoe (181) White(196) Sidebottom (184)
F: Pendlebury (191) Moore(201) Fasolo (181)
R: Grundy (203) Adams (181) Treloar (182)
B: Blair (174) Smith (180) Broomhead (185) Crisp (190)

E: Dunn (192), Cox (211), Scharenberg (191), Daicos (178), Mayne (188)

This is my preferred best 22 on current available players.

Dunn very unlucky, 50:50 with Schade or Goldsack. In the end I went with Goldsack because of his athleticism and ability to impact the contest. All the other defenders have good ball skills so I went with one pure stopper.

Cox another you could consider was very stiff. Very impressed with his pre-season and think he will be in the mix round two but just don't see him lining up against the premiers in round 1. WBs don't currently have any tall defenders and will use multiple smaller, quick, well skilled type players to move the ball quickly from defence. We have been burned before and big coxy won't apply enough defensive pressure!

Mayne, played well last game and will get the gig but not my preferred option. Broomhead for me offers the same threat at goal plus he can rotate through the centre. Broomhead is the future IMO!

Can you do one with total of games played? Anyone around 50 games or more should be ready to go to the next level.!

After very little thought, tid bits of whispers, here is the side I think they will select
And emergencies

B. Maynard ~ Dunn ~ Smith
HB. Howe ~ Reid ~ Ramsay
C. Sidebottom ~ Treloar ~ Phillips
HF. Varcoe ~ Moore ~ Hoskin-Elliot
F. Fasolo ~ Cox ~ Blair
R. Grundy ~ Pendlebury (c) ~ Adams
I. White ~ Mayne ~ Crisp ~ Aish

E. Schade, Goldsack, Broomhead

New: Dunn (Melbourne), Hoskin-Elliot (AFL Giants), Mayne (Fremantle)

I just think they'll pick Blair, but can't see who is dropped for him if the word is Broomhead is in but think he'll miss so Blair plays.

That's the way I see it. Broomhead hasn't played enough footy to play. Schade and Goldsack very unlucky to miss out.

Bucks went the big three, Cox, Moore and White. I am a little surprised he made this choice but good on him, solid team. I had Broomhead in instead of Cox against the premiers to stop their rebound 50.

Forward: Cox, Moore and White.
Defence: Reid, Schade, Goldsack, Howe.
Midfield: Grundy, Pendlebury, Crisp.

10 out of 22 over 190cm. Lots of height!

Wow no Mayne! Jesse has to perform (marks & goals) cos we're giving up fwd defence for attack with that decision. Darcy, Cox, Jesse, Fas aren't reknowned for defensive pressure, so 15+ goals is the aim.

Dunn vs Schade was a 50/50, I preferred experience vs our premiership champ Trav.

No longer behind red rope: "you two can come in"

Let's be honest Moore and white can certainly apply forward pressure and will be expected to fight like Blair and Varcoe.
