Still feeling that Libba won't play round 1 but happy to be proven wrong. Redpath-Boyd combination can work and Tom has shown that he can compete in the ruck and back up campbell. Hunter, Picken and Suckling on the bench points to a very strong side. Just have to hope the defense holds up with Hamling and Adams.

Wood - Hamling - Morris
MBoyd - Adams - Murphy
Macrae - Picken - Hunter
Stevens - Stringer - Suckling
Bontempelli - TBoyd - Daniel
Campbell - Wallis - Dahlhaus

Liberatore - Roughead - Biggs - Johannisen

Not sure Dickson gets up for this one. Bev loves Roughie, he'll play I reckon. No Redpath, I don't think he works with Boyd and he's in the lesser form of the two. Bontempelli still finding his groove, so starting up forward.

Selected Biggs for the sake of points, but I'd rather have picked McLean.

Left Dicko out as doubt they'll risk him Rnd 1. If fit Prudden makes way. If Campbell fit then poor old Roughy out

I've edited my earlier post (many pages back) in this thread - is that OK or do you want me to post again?

Hi guys,

Did T Boyd and Redpath play many games together last year? How did they go working in tandem?

You all seem very split in your best 22's on this point.

Didn't play together much and currently they don't work very well together yet on their lonesome they probably both deserve a place.

I think 20 / 22 pick themselves, it now just depends on whether we go Redpath/Roughead/extra small and their is probably one more small/medium spot to fight it out between Daniel/Biggs/Jong. The other 20 spots are virtually locks with Adams predicted to make his round 1 debut and Hamling should be right to play.

Can you repost it? Ta.

This is a little unkind. Saturday was the first time they've played together this year and for a big part of the game Boyd was in the ruck. Whilst Redpath had a quiet game, what was it about the combination that suggests they didn't work very well together? Did they spoil each other going for marks? Did they run into each other's space? Did it allow Collingwood to run the ball out of defence under little pressure? I would suggest the answer is no to all of these.

I think the question around Redpath is whether he is actually good enough....not whether he can play in the same forwardline as Boyd.

I have Dickson missing also.
