Does JLo ever change anything?
Same crap all game..

I get we’re moving Fyfe fwd now, but a patch in the middle wouldn’t have been a bad idea given we couldn’t get it forward to him.

Just always seems when things go bad, there’s never any in game changes, camera pans to him when it’s bad and he looks completely clueless in the box at the time.

Before the game interview with Ross was talking about how we like to transition slowly and controlled. Was very easy for him to cut that off today, as I imagine it would be for most other coaches. No speed or excitement at all in the way we played, and that forward line was just the icing on the cake.
JL's gameplan has been found out and he doesn't seem capable of a plan B, a loss is one thing but it's the way the loss transpired that is incredibly alarming.

Thought Freo lacked a big body through the wings today.

Pick 52 this year is a ripper though.
Yes, we badly missed a soft shitty jocks squib kicking it into the stratosphere tonight.

After the final siren an old bloke walked past me in the aisle and said three words to me:

“We’ve learned nothing”

Not sure wholesale changes would make a difference.

Think the Fyfe experiment up forward not working. I knew his kicking was terrible but expected at least him being there would provide good contest and lock it in. Think he needs go back into midfield.

They need run the ball more. The stop start approach doesn't work for Freo

:padlock:

The personnel could do it if the ball movement was better than WAFL mid table level.

Its not the result, its the method. It just won't work.
I saw enough opportunities bombed today to suggest it wasn't the method.

More the execution moving inside 50.

How many times will forwards drop a basic chest mark before they catch one.

Or not kick to open players inside 50.

We missed plenty of opportunities to put them away in the 3rd quarter and didn't left the door ajar and they pounced.

We kicked 7.10 probably 3 to 4 behinds were kickable and kicked at least 1 OOF.

I'm hoping it's a short week and the atmosphere is a total 180

I thought Jackson overall was poor. And yet he started so brightly with that neat handball to Freddy for our first goal. But it was summarized by his lazy boneheaded kick around the body shot for goal that missed the lot. And that basically characterized the afternoon.....sigh! The joys of being a footy fan...2022 Round 2, deja vu....footy: f*** you

What can we say after an exhibition like that. Only once (in the last quarter) did I see a forward lead into the empty space. Pretty well every time we had the ball just outside the fifty you would look up and evry fremantle player in the forward 50 was standing still waiting for the easy goal There aren't any easy goal unless the uympire gifts you one.
Treacy, you need to lead straight up the middle regardless of where the ball is and woe betide anyone standing in your way - just DEMAND that the bell be kicked to you.
Why on earth we lead and kick to the pocket I don't understand. Goals get scored from in front of the goals not from impossible angles.
But whatever just run to create space/lead or to cover an opponent. This is auskick training!
