Round 1 team v Carlton

McMahon is a very important player for us. If he continues to play well and Raines, King, Newman and Tambling show fire off half back we'll be fine in the medium/small man department down back!
Everyside could've had Scott Selwood or Callan Ward if they wanted them - don't lose any sleep over it!

His last quarter was atrocious against Port Adelaide. Too many turnovers.

As for WCE. Thats fine, he did have a good game. So did 21 others.

McMahon was recruited for his kicking, yet at times it was terrible this year. He wont go in and get the hard ball, and paid no attention to his opponent. Raines and King are far better suited to the role off the half back flank. :thumbsu:
agree re your comments about mcsquib but raines and kings kicking is far worse than jordys.no club can afford poor kicks coming of half back.

I think what Beaver is referring to is that we would've taken Scott Selwood at 19 and not Ward if we didnt give up the pick.

yehh i suppose we will never know who we wouldve taken with that pick 19, miller was in charge anything couldve happend

ive said above we were definately tossing up between rance and selwood at pick 18 read the post.if we had pick 19 selwood would have been a tiger.this is fact there was a poster who is a member of the captains club who won a competition to go on the draft table. he posted back on punt road end what happened on draft day.

ahh no

dont try and correct me, if your wrong
Wrong it is abundantly clear Selwood and Rance were being discussed for pick 18. Common knowledge.

Wrong again, we know who we would have taken, it would have been Selwood.

Wrong yet again about Miller. Jackson had the final say on picks.

Just like being wrong, don't you theminga.

will be tough to get a gig next year for midfielder/half forwards

hard to leave out Edwards, Connors for me but can't see others missing ahead. if cogs is fit and at the club he will play. things can change over the summer though. would like to see tambling play down back.

Moore for McMahon
Would also want to see how the draft goes as well.

Does anyone see Adam Thompson getting in after a few games?

Not exactly far worse, but there kicking is average, ill give you.

The thing is, both Raines and King are contested ball winners, go in and get dirty and play defensivley on their opponents, which are things McMahon simply dosent do. Ill accept the bad kicking if they can apply themselves in other areas. :thumbsu:

It is going to be hard to make the team this year.

Quality draft picks coming in. Thomson looking for games.

That team has no Hughes, Rance and Connors.

Feels good to have pressure on players

Going to be another good one between our two clubs I think.
Not as much hate as last year which is weird but im sure it will build.

I think both sets of supporters are happy where their repsectives lists are heading and don't feel the insecure need to be 'better' than each other.
There is still hate, but both clubs are on the right track.

Yeah your probably right.
I think the Tigers will go far next year, you guys have a very well balanced list.
All the best for Round 2, 2009.:thumbsu:
Decent Blues fans are hard to find on our board.:thumbsu:

To be honest....if the blues went in with that line-up, I'm confident we have all bases covered. But thats my bias.

Rance vs Krezuer looks a juicy match-up though ;)
