RICHMOND
B: Shane Edwards Kel Moore Chris Newman
HB: Mitch Farmer Luke McGuane Will Thursfield
C: Dustin Martin Brett Deledio Ben Nason
HF: Tom Hislop Jack Riewoldt Richard Tambling
F: Relton Roberts Mitch Morton Robin Nahas
Foll: Troy Simmonds Daniel Jackson Trent Cotchin
Int: Ty Vickery Ben Cousins Daniel Connors, Adam Thomson
Emg: Dean Polo Graham Polak Matthew White
I'm a little perplexed by the Richmond team here. No Post, no Rance, and both Polak and White have been named as emergencies. White has usually played well against us in the past, and thought he would get a game tomorrow night. The other thing is they have gone in with a smallish side - with only really Riewoldt a "tall" in Richmonds forward line, as Morton is only about 186cm. Only Vickery on the bench, who is going to have to give Simmonds a chop out, so to ask them both to rotate between the ruck and going forward will be a tough job.
Three talls in the backhalf seems about right. What you do notice is the lack of flexibility with their forwards and backs. None of them can play at either end of the ground, whereas Carlton have Henderson, Waite and O'Hailpin who can all play at either end, and even Thornton went forward last year vs Nth Melbourne.
