McCreery only had 3 touches and 0 tackles. He didn't do a lot of hitting like a truck at all. I mostly saw him looking at players backs as they got away. I like McCreery a lot but he was really poor. I'd drop him unless there was a reason we're unaware of like he had the runs or whatever's going around.

Reckon he will have a cracker in the wet over there.
I back him in for 2 goals 5 tackles and 15 possies

If they drop Poulter they are clueless

Until they start holding the senior guys to account for their poor form and lack of commitment to the contest, nothing will change

Make a statement at selection - not just drop the kids every time

I think you could be right about that.I actually forgot that Poulter played last week, that’s why I didn’t include him in my outs,
I think they drop Tyler Brown if Elliott comes in and plays a bit of midfield. Sidebottom and Crisp having the flu make it interesting because Crisps best replacement would be one of the Browns and Sidebottoms best replacement would probably be Poulter. Maybe I have no idea and im totally wrong.

Not the greatest game, but Tyler Brown showed something different on the weekend and I didn’t mind it. Reckon he’ll get another crack at it.

Such a predicament because Sidebottom hasn’t been good, but his experience and smarts is needed and it’s not fair to continually drop the kids (Poulter and Macrae) without giving them extended time in the seniors.

Cal, Madgen and Begg definitely out. It’s a big call who that fourth out will be and Macrae would be fairly stiff to miss or be made the sub again but also doesn’t make the starting 22.

I’m hesitant in dropping McCreery because we need that tackling pressure. He’s the most logical medical sub with Macrae as the 4th out.

N Daicos named as a centre square mid for first time? Bring it on!

Actually looks like one of the strongest line-ups we’ve named all season. Quite a lot of competition for those final interchange spots.

I smell an against-the-odds away win!

No Grundy, Roughead or Kreuzer.

Im a Tyler Brown fan. I feel he is about half a season away from getting his mojo going in the senior team. I agree he is starting to show little snippets of potential. But I dont mind if he plays in the VFL or AFL as long as he gets some decent game time.
I feel Sidebottom needs a break, he showed some form in the first few games. Im happy with the outs. Im also a fan of McCreerys pressure.

Would we need Murphy for height?

Crisp best replacement is one of the Beige brothers , !! 🤣, hear some weird stuff on here , you could have both Beige brothers rolled into one playing and they still would not get close to Crisp’s output

Might’ve nailed the team in the OP. Just need to see who's in as the sub

Edit: had forgotten Murphy.

Come on now! Cox was a far better performer in the ruck than Begg was when he was promoted.
I agree. I think that Begg needs 2 to 3 pre-seasons & a lot of time in the gym to bulk up so that he can physically withstand the physical demands & pressure that an AFL ruckman and/or key forwards require. At least Cox has a mature body & the height factor that will always allow him to be competitive in the ruck. I think that it is entirely logical & rational to play Cox in the team until Grundy returns. Who knows? Perhaps the responsibility of being the Number 1 ruckman may be the making of him? Goodnight & good luck.

Giving Sidebottom & Crisp time to come up.
Crispy would be desperate to play.
Great to see Elliott back.
I am worried about Elliott being selected without any time in the VFL. Given his recurrent history with multiple injuries over a long period of time, I would rather that he be nursed back into the AFL via at least 1 game in the VFL. In addition, sending him to Perth for his very 1st game back somewhat reeks of desperation to me. Hopefully I am totally wrong & that he comes back in fantastic form & kicks 3 to 4 goals against Fremantle & most importantly he does not sustain any more injuries. Still I am worried. Goodnight & good luck.

Cox has a mature body that gets blown over by a 5 km south easterly breeze , strength personified, but he is the best available at the moment .

I do think that you are being somewhat unfair with his physical constraints. They usually manifest in marking performances especially when he has played as a key forward. I think that there a less of an issue when he plays as a dedicated knock ruckman! OK. Goodnight & good luck!
