Hear we go on radio on SEN 1116 right now. Caller says you just cannot trust the lions away from the Gabba. Host says yes i cant trust Brisbane outside of the gabba either. Noone probably cares but thats the mentality down here in Melbourne.
Any time we lose an away game this comes out and it will until we win a premiership with the current group.

Screamed us being concerned about Kiddy and/or Rich's ability to run out the game.
Then pick Ah Chee as he can play there or wing or forward. Or play Prior who can play there or wing. Or pick Dev and move Wilmot back. Dev can play multiple positions as well. Again it was a poor selection

bullshit, too many people on this site just do some sort of weird covering for poor play.

I feel like fans can’t exactly cover for poor play since they don’t exactly make any choices relating to it.

Negativity is exhausting so people just prefer to take some positives out of things and move on. We all want the team to succeed but it doesn’t mean you have to dedicate time or energy to talking down in the club.

I was ready to come on here spewing about the game but by the end of the game I was too tired from it and decided to not let it ruin my night. Don’t bash people because they don’t feel like bashing others.

We totally had that game in our hands (or more precicely feet) and heads but stuffed it up.

That being said the following thought popped into my mind ... imagine if you will someone puts a geas on the entire umpiring fraternity which had the effect that any time a decision was made that the umpire knew was wrong (so not the oops ones but the ones where they perform the mental tasks the fans ascribe to them a la cheating, bias, supporting one team etc) or chose not to make when they knew it should have been made that they have some kind of 60 second crippling pain in the stomach or head or something that would cause them to be unable to function obviously for that period (and then they would be fine) and it was announced publically that such had been done (so the umpires and the crowd both know about it) whether we would be 'pleasently' surprised that it was all incompetence or we would rapidly see an adjustment to a more balanced sytem of umpiring ...

And yes I do have a strange brain sometimes ;)

I did tip Adelaide so not surprised we lost. Felt we were taking a big risk bringing Gardiner and Rich in as one or both would have been very underdone. Sadly, Rich was a liability tonight and was probably the difference - both in his turnovers leading to goals and his lack of drive forward.

The thing that got my blood boiling was the horrible umpiring. It didn't change the result, but felt as a whole round this has got to be the worst collectively that we've seen. Is this really the best a professional sport can provide?

AFL 23 (the video game) is glitchy, poorly made and poorly rolled out on release date. At first, I thought 'how could a professional sport like the AFL invest into something that is so bad?' only to realise, they can't even get the basic fundamentals of our game working in the ACTUAL SPORT let alone a video game.

When this premiership window closes, I am taking a break.

Can’t agree with that when we did basically did everything right except kick straight.

Just a question
Did you not think our long kicks to inside 50 were good enough ?
For mind that part of our game was disappointing
I put it down to poor running or presenting to the kicker.
Just need a little better balance imo

And?

Geelong just lost in Perth. Geelong just lost at home.

Melbourne just lost at the MCG.

The Western Bulldogs just got beaten by the suns in Darwin.....
And what. Thats the feedback down here in Melbourne.
People dont trust our footy club. Until we win a flag that will stick with us unfortunately. Not sure what you want me to say. geelong won a flag last year, we haven't YET

Oh no Cam Luke and the armchair experts don't rate us.

I listened to talkback after friday night and there was a carlton fan claiming they should never have delsited Bootsma (assume it was a troll). What's the point of getting invested in this stuff (unless it is to laugh at irate carlton fans spewing about how back in da good old days they believed in winning).

I was thinking about this, I think the club needs to do a bit of advocacy on joes behalf behind closed doors.

I get umpires aren’t paying frees for him because of the history of dives but they have overcorrected to not paying anything.

Issue is that what was not paid were holds - the non-paying of which is not a Joe specific issue. Honestly is the most frustrating thing about footy is what players are able to do before the contest by way of grabbing and scragging, and nothing gets paid.

I was lying on the couch listening to that cackling the talkback is a hoot.

I feel sorry for anyone taking it seriously.

Been listening to it along time so i know the right people who to take notice of and who not. The carlton supporter saying he was suffering child abuse from supporting carlton for 24 years. That was laughable.

It gets worse and worse and worse, and just when you think it can't get any worse, it gets worse.

Is anyone watching first crack?

David king’s brain just had a hard reset when Huddo said crows have 4 players over 200 games.

Oof David king is currently showing 1 clip of Daniel rich

We played well enough to win but everything went against us. We had more than enough opportunities in front of goal but inaccurate kicking ultimately cost us as well as poor umpiring.I'm just writing this off as a dirty night. I was ready and expecting a loss tonight, Adelaide are very strong at home and they had Collingwood beat 2 weeks ago if it wasn't for a few critical mistakes in the last moments of that game. I'll be in Melbourne at the MCG for our game against Hawthorn. I'm confident the boys will redeem themselves after the bye.
