Anderson is not in our best 22.
Until Army returns, Ando is in our best 22 for this week.

Thornton had a poorer game than Anderson on Sunday.

Waite should take Thornton's spot.

Houlihan for Browne who fumbled a couple of easy marks.

Melbourne's been playing a similar style to Essendon, who we've really struggled to maintain. Going through the corridor at every opportunity and for some reason, we struggle to negate the opposition's run through the corridor.

Am just a tad worried about this game.

Judd, Murph and Gibbs (when he's in the middle) not paying respect to their opponents

Nuh it'll be S White, he did injure that knee in the Hawks game. Looks like him too.

On the game, they've picked a small running side, perhaps trying to emulate the Dons. Lets hope our tackling game is up!

Both sides going in with only two genuine key forwards and key backs.

Jamison & Thornton v Watts & Miller, and O'hAilpin & Waite v Frawley & Rivers. Melbourne also have smaller marking targets in Bate and Green (when forward), who will probably be marked by Anderson and Walker.

Though this game will almost certainly be won or lost in the midfield, winning the majority of these duels will go a long way to gaining control.

I'd back Jamison in any day of the week against Watts, and think that Miller is actually a good opponent for a terribly out of form Thornton, given that he is fairly slow and doesn't have too many tricks.

Frawley may be too good for O'hAilpin (it wouldn't surprise me if Setanta still does well though), but Rivers has been very average this year and I really think Waite might get a hold of him, given he owes the team and will have a point to prove.

I think a good performance from Waite will be critical in us getting the points, in what is a massive danger game for us. One of Betts/Garlett also need to contribute on the scoreboard, instead of just with their defensive pressure.

Don't know much about the Melbourne Tankers, apart from a few new players, and some of their senior players. I do know they love playing against slow midfields like the Retreads. We're a pretty quick team, and so should be OK from that point of view. Who are their KP forwards? Watts? and Miller? Nothing too scary there. Seem to be mostly small/medium type forwards. Jamar has been fantastic over the past 12 months or so. Don't know anything about their 2nd ruck. Danger game, but we have a lot more talent all over the park. Can't see them containing Setanta, Waite, Garlett, Betts and Houllihan. Our midfield is way too classy and deep as well. Only concern is we haven't got our A-grade defenders playing because of injury. Crucial for players like Anderson, Browne and Thornton to play well. Can't afford to take any game easy. Would be happy with a 1 point win, although I suspect we'll win by a lot more.

:)
